Activision confirmed that Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 on PS4 and PS5 are NOT remasters, just ports, and will have no additional updates. The games are coming to modern day PlayStations though and that should mean brand new servers with no hackers (for a bit 🙏)

@letsgetcanceled Points are the main reason I avoid cursed outside of relics and the easter eggs for the pap camos Point farming should never be borderline mandatory like it is in bo7. They messed up massively making pap and ammo more expensive on top of pap 4 and golden armor being so expensive

Man, I genuinely do kinda dislike how points are actually much easier to obtain in cursed than it was in the older zombies games, but you still feel much further behind. You can have double the points you had in classic zombies, but only be halfway setup at best.

@xpertfusion3 @evil_squidevil This. IW should use Gunsmith as that is their baby and works great. Treyarch doing Pick 10 would be awesome Plus they could do like Pick 13, Pick 20, etc. So you could have a system with more attachment slots and space for them then Pick 10 allowed.

@evil_squidevil Pick 10 and Gunsmith aren’t mutually exclusive. You could do a hybrid of them. But also, even if they did do the same old Pick 10 system, I think variety is good. We shouldn’t have the same class system every year.

I really hope they don't take the wrong lessons from this. The right lessons would be... • Preserve the older CODs better. • Remaster the older games. • Some new COD games should have a more classic-feel again (for MP and Zombies) • Systems like Pick 10 and Wager Matches should return. • Don't have similar feeling games too many years in a row because fans will itch for something different (which could be something from the past) The wrong lessons would be... • New COD games should do more nostalgia-baiting. • Every new COD going forward should be just like BO1 & BO2 • Fans just want remastered maps from BO1 & BO2 in the new games. • Fans just want stories with the same Black Ops characters like Woods & Mason forever. • Don't try anything new, ever. • Every COD should have a similar aesthetic and tone to the classic CODs.

Things I’d be surprised to see in the Black Ops 1/2 ports: - emblem editor - COD TV - progression transfer from PS3 - crossplay of any sort - paid DLC (especially if you owned on PS3 - stricter matchmaking Really excited to see wager matches again too! (We need those back)

The Black Ops and Black Ops 2 releases for PlayStation are ports specifically, as Treyarch mentioned. It will be its own servers, not the PS3 ones. But, there's no cross-play, performance upgrades, or new features mentioned at all.

@xpertfusion3 Yes please, I have zero excitement if we don't get it to Xbox as I don't even have my PS4 outta a box yet and I'm playing Xbox these days. But ain't touching those X360 servers with a 10 foot pole

If the DLC comes with these ports and the servers are hacker-free, then Xbox absolutely needs to get the same thing. So many people have no idea how backwards compatibility works. It’s NOT the same as ports. Yes we can play the old CODs on the new Xbox consoles, but we are still using the old Xbox 360 servers. Having new ports with *hopefully* better servers and DLC included would be fantastic. Even if there’s no other changes, that would be enough for me.

@realityuk Short of maybe they uncap the framerate? Would be hella nice to have higher framerate and FoV options. But do know some old games have issues if you go over their intended framerates

@realityuk We need an Xbone port too but it sounds like it's just PS and Xbox will be stuck with our hacked to shit BC port and I hate that As a port I'm expecting $40 maybe tops with both titles combined to entice an audience With it jus being a port job not sure if we'll see FoV and FPS

Things Treyarch need to elaborate on regarding the BO1/2 port: • Price (old cods are still 50 odd quid) • Crossplay • State of CODTV • FOV unlock • FPS unlock

@charlieINTEL They should follow what Capcom does and start remaking the old games every couple of years. MW2, BO1, BO2 would go crazy with 4k textures and QoL updates
