Australia’s renewables experiment is falling apart. It’s set to cost over a trillion dollars, it’s not delivering the reliable energy we need to grow the economy, and families are paying the price through higher power bills. On top of that, it’s chewing up valuable farming land and won’t make a difference to global temperatures at all. These industrial-scale projects have become a taxpayer-funded racket. A One Nation government would be quick to pull the plug on funding. Enough is enough. And at the ballot box, voters should send a clear message to any candidate backing these outrageous, failed projects.

@Chad50726588 👍👋G'day Chad, it was actually 4 refineries that the LNP Crime Org let close down during their 9 year catastrophe. It may well have been in order to make Forger Taylor trousering $94 million for reserves (on the other side of the world) look slightly less stupid & corrupt😀

What I was looking at was the grass slope in the middle. I didn't see fencing above but then again I have old eyes. Overall the idea is commendable. When I see the concrete barriers along highways, I always wonder why each one doesn't have a notch at the bottom allowing animals like racoons, possums, etc. to escape the highway rather than being trapped.

Canada built bridges for bears, and it worked better than anyone expected. The Trans-Canada Highway cuts through Banff National Park for 82 kilometers. For decades it was a killing field. Animals on one side couldn't reach animals on the other, which fragmented populations and cut off migration routes. Starting in 1996, Parks Canada built 44 wildlife crossing structures, along with fencing to guide animals toward them. Critics called it a waste of money. Editorials said animals would never use them. They were wrong. Since monitoring began, animals have used the crossings more than 250,000 documented times. Wolves, grizzly bears, elk, moose, cougars, wolverines, lynx, bighorn sheep. Wildlife-vehicle collisions dropped 80% overall. It took grizzlies about five years to trust the structures. Elk tested them while they were still under construction. Every species had its own preference. Grizzlies and elk liked the wide open overpasses. Cougars and black bears preferred the narrow tunnels. This is now the longest-running wildlife crossing research program in the world. Delegations have come from China, Mongolia, Costa Rica, and Argentina to copy the model. Is your state building these?

#LoyYang We’re not running out of energy. We’re deliberately shutting it down. Loy Yang A delivers 2,210MW 24/7 and powers ~30% of Victoria. It sits on hundreds of years of accessible coal and it was recently refurbished. Yet inexplicably we’re closing it early. So what are we replacing it with? • ~15,000 hectares of solar • ~130,000 hectares of wind • 1,000+ turbines • Massive transmission buildout • Backup storage that still can’t guarantee supply And that is all to replicate what 6,000 hectares already does and reliably. We’re still dismantling dispatchable power and it needs to stop. We need to keep reliable generation online while we build more of what actually works. This isn’t an appropriate engineering solution, it’s more climate ideology and it’s Aussie households that will continue pay the piper for it.

@GreenTyler27 Shutting down what works in the hope that the move to 82% renewables works. I was always taught to have a back up plan or at least keep the original going before superseding it!

Matt Canavan at NPC asked how he plans to win back Teal seats & be able to form govt with his anti-Net Zero, anti-renewables agenda, says the focus won’t be “on winning seats” — “if we focus on winning, we’ll miss the mark.” Way to go, Matt, stay focused on losing 🤣🤦‍♂️ #auspol

Australia is being told to cripple its own economy chasing “net zero”… all while countries like China are still massively increasing emissions. We need to focus on reliability, affordability and sovereignty as first priorities. We need an energy system that works now, not ideological targets that ignore the global realities. We have high power bills, high fuel costs and heavy industry leaving Australia; while global emissions keep rising anyway. We shut down our broad parts of our economy… and the atmosphere didn’t even say thank you.

a growing problem ,Parking EVs in NSW underground strata car parks requires compliance with specific safety, fire, and by-law regulations due to fire risks in confined spaces. While EVs aren't more prone to fire, they require specialized, often sprinkler-protected, charging infrastructure. Installing charging points needs approval via Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 s108. 📷NSW Climate and Energy Action +4

March sales figures are starting to come in — the data is irrefutable. Aussies abandoning combustion engine cars like the plague. ICE resale values plummeting hard, & it will only worsen. The shift is happening now, not later. This demand shock is an accelerant. #Bettrification

@wvfunnyguy Would his best action at the end of the dinner be to have gone to the counter to pay, only pay for his meal, hand the waiter a cash tip and walked out with his left over meal package? She could then sort out payment for her food after she realises he's left. She had intent. 💯!
