@Nic_Sentient @JoshBabarinde He met Alan Bates on 7 October 2010, following a second request for a meeting. Davey certainly didn’t respond quickly enough or seriously enough to the red flags waved, and relied too much on the advice of officials. But in that respect he was no different to other PO ministers.

🚨 The UK IS NOW ARRESTING PEOPLE FOR PROTESTING WITHOUT PERMISSION. Two individuals, including Steve Dand from Unite the Right, have just been ARRESTED for organising a MARCH (protest) WITHOUT PERMISSION. This is not China nor North Korea. This is the UK, where people are being arrested for protesting.

Ed Davey was paid £833 an hour - over £220,000 in total - to advise lawyers who were acting for the Post Office. (Taking taxpayers’ money to persecute petrified, innocent people.) Yesterday, I joined with @crisis_uk and 15 other organisations calling for the Chancellor to restore housing benefit to match the true cost of rent. The budget next week is the Chancellor's opportunity to lift people out of poverty and prevent homelessness.
