A federal appeals court just took a major swing at the Second Amendment. In Beckwith v. Frey, the First Circuit claimed that the right to keep and bear arms does not actually extend to purchasing or acquiring one, arguing it is not found in the Amendment’s plain text. We are once again asking: how is someone supposed to exercise their Second Amendment rights if they can neither purchase nor manufacture a firearm?

@libsoftiktok Military bases are in itself secure. You don’t need to carry. There are fucking guards and walls. This type of thing makes it less secure in my personal opinion.

Im curious to see how this will be implemented at various installations. How many layers of approval will it take to get to the installation commander? What requirements will each service place in order to get approval? Will I have to take a class?

@Mrgunsngear Let me just clarify for the service members out there: You CANNOT carry immediately. You MUST apply pursuant to the relevant DODI. This order simply says the installation commanders must approve the application unless they have some specific reason to deny it.

SEC Hegseth publishes a new policy allowing military members to carry firearms on base. Base commanders will have to give a written reason when they deny members request to carry. 1. Obviously this is the right policy for DOD and all Americans everywhere in America. 2. We will now get more reports of NDs on base; probably mostly by logisticians and military members with HR type MOSs. 3. Commanders will fight this as they're largely politicians and pussies. Easily over half. These are the same people who issued the unlawful MRNA jab order and haven't been punished AT ALL so that should be a clue as to how this will go down. Have you ever thought about the big difference between Judas and Peter in the Bible? Both men failed Jesus in terrible ways. Yet their stories ended very differently. Judas betrayed our Lord for thirty pieces of silver. When he realized what he had done, he felt deep regret. But instead of turning to God, he fell into despair. He tried to give the money back, but then he went out and took his own life. Peter, on the other hand, denied even knowing Jesus three times on the night of His arrest. When the rooster crowed, and Jesus looked at him, Peter wept bitterly. His heart was broken. But Peter did not stay in his guilt. He repented and turned back to the Lord. Later, Jesus restored Peter and even used him to build the early church. The Bible tells us there is a difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. Worldly sorrow, as Judas had, leads to death. Godly sorrow, like Peter's, leads to repentance and life. Friends, when we mess up and sin against God, we have a choice. We can let despair take over, or we can repent and receive the forgiveness that Jesus offers. His mercy is always there for those who turn to Him. Let us choose repentance as Peter did.
