"SOCIALISM?" When I was a little kid, we had a GOP President (5-star general, war hero) and the super-rich paid huge taxes & didn't complain - they were STILL CRAZY RICH!!! AND - We had a BIG middle class. A rule of thumb was: "Don't spend more than 1/4 of your income on shelter!!!!!!!!!" And? - most people came pretty close! Can you imagine!!!?

Stop pandering to the absurdity of blasphemy laws. Religions must be open to scrutiny, especially when they cause harm, bigotry, misogyny, etc. No belief system should be above accountability. You’re free to believe, but beliefs can & will be criticised, even if that offends!

We hug and pet our cats and dogs (as we should), yet in the time it takes me to tap out these words, millions of terrified, harmless beings that respond to & express kindness and affection are in the process of having their skulls crushed & throats slit, etc. etc. because life's just SO not as fun for most people, apparently, without their burgers, wings, ribs, steaks, etc. It's unspeakable cruelty & horror inflicted 24/7/365...year after bloody, agonizing year. It's just too painful or boring or whatever to consider having the spaghetti w/marinara sauce or a black bean burrito with Spanish rice, or some really tasty vegetable soup with a fresh salad, or ...etc. etc.

Isn’t it amazing that billions of humans have been socially indoctrinated into thinking that what goes on in slaughterhouses is moral?

Spanking has been common nearly everywhere and forever, but I was shown one particular incident & I commented on it. That little kid looked like it was almost new to walking, so it made ANY physical abuse all the worse in that case Yes, physical abuse is wrong, period. Adults don't tolerate it. It's illegal, hence, all the more inexcusable when it's inflicted on children.

@JohnnyArgent Much worse physical abuse is inflicted by men who call it a “spanking”. This is common in America and is considered discipline.

Get that poor, damaged baby away from that monster! Put that woman behind bars...for life! There is NO excuse for THAT ABUSE! Can we get followup? Was she ID'ed and served with consequences? ....PLEASE?

I guess I can't expect anyone to GIVE food away when they had to struggle to pay for it, but is it the least bit possible that the idea of making profit or much profit could be set aside, or at least minimized when babies are starving? Should food sit, uneaten on shelves or locked away because one's starving countrymen don't have enough money? I'm just asking...not judging or condemning anyone.... I'm not in their position(s).

Huge fortunes were built on the backs of unpaid labor. They didn't evaporate with The Emancipation Proclamation. Some financed huge business institutions still "in play" in fields like banking & insurance. The "idle rich" who lolled on porches, in rocking chairs, sipping mint juleps while slaves toiled in the fields? They passed fortunes on to the next generation who followed suit. Freed slaves couldn't help but pass on SOME amount of the disadvantages they were dealt, in terms of no or poor education, housing, health care & all the rest. SOMETHING is owed; it's inarguably evident!

Whatever your age or taste in music, "John & Paul" by: Ian Leslie reveals FAR more than a deep look into the lives, histories & personalities of two leading members of the most famous Pop music group of the last six decades. It examines and exposes so many commonly-held myths & misconceptions about too much to list here, but, for a start? There's the generally under-examined nature of fame & fortune (as a construct), the sardonic observation that America & The U.K. are two great nations divided by a common language, the way The Beatles were far more than a source of entertainment in the usual sense of the word, and on & on. One word of caution? It does delve a bit deeply into some slightly technical aspects of song construction & uses vocabulary associated with the "science" of music with some frequency, but that shouldn't be a deal-breaker, I don't think. It's a damned good book by most standards. That's my review, anyway.

It doesn't matter; the whole construct won't come when you call it, but it's essentially a theocracy and one perfectly suitable name is "Moneytheism®." 😇 Its most devoted followers & practitioners' faith is unshakable ... for good reasons. They may wear different labels & march here & there under different banners but not ONE of them, regardless of their other tags, will give you two tens for a five! 🤣 Thanks for your time! 🙏

No reasonably decent human being kneels, with all their weight, on the neck of a handcuffed prisoner stretched flat on the ground for minute after minute, who's no threat to three trained, fully-armed police officers who are paid to protect & serve the public. Whatever substance was or was not in the victim's bloodstream at the time is irrelevant. He was not arrested for committing a violent crime.

If you’re claiming that George Floyd died of an overdose, I’m 99% sure you’re racist and say the n-word, maybe even regularly.
