I’m an Atheist. I don’t hate God—I simply don’t believe in one. Yet I care deeply: for people, animals, the planet. I regularly give to charity, cherish life, & find purpose in creating my own path. Morality doesn’t require Faith—it just requires independent thought & a conscience!

If God holds us responsible for 'rebelling' against Him, that implies we knowingly reject a clear divine authority. Yet for many honest seekers, God's existence isn't evident. How can a just God blame reasonable non-belief?

In a nutshell: why did I leave Christianity? Not because I was harmed, because nobody ever physically hurt me whilst I was a baptised Christian. At age 10/11, I established the correlation between the brand of ‘my’ religion and my place of birth, which inspired my first scepticism towards Christianity. The lies of burning in Hell for my natural scepticism, however, inspired distress in my teenage self. My reason for ultimately resenting and abandoning Christianity, after due research, however, was simply because I realised the Bible totally lacks evidence for anything divine. Also I realised the intolerance towards those who didn’t subject to Christianity. Later I learned about the killings during the religious Crusades, the various internecine religious wars with Christians, Muslims and Jews, which further cemented my dislike for all Abrahamic religions. My further education as an adult only compounds my disrespect for these religions. Whilst I will always respect all law-abiding theists (& atheists), I sincerely hope more people will realise the overwhelmingly self-serving objective of all Abrahamic Religions: (dangerous) Control over the impressionable masses. I don’t hate, nor dismiss the notion of a potential creator, albeit I think such creature is most unlikely. Biblical/Quranic god, however, is a vile, MANmade, blackmailing, fear mongering notion, which harms society. I do hate harmful lies and misconceptions, which are the foundations of most religions. I love mutual respect, kindness and compassion. —- ☮️

@la_baballe If god existed and would be perfect, the Bible should read like flawless revelation. I was raised a Christian. Reading the Bible, recognising the contradictions, errors, misconceptions, misogyny & racism within made me realise it's just a MANmade book to control the masses. ☮️

If god is perfect, the Bible should read like flawless revelation. Instead it reads like humans kept making god improvise, regret things, change plans, demand blood, lose patience, and call the plot “divine wisdom”.
