In the past "cool kids ministry" looked down on @Awana Clubs as "old fashion." Fast forward to today & parents r getting kids out of screens & into tactile experiences where kids memorize the Bible & play games. Suddenly Awana U.S. is cool again & we grew by 81,000 kids in 2025.

The label “heretic” gets thrown around way too easily these days. If you profess the Nicene Creed & the Apostles’ Creed, you count as a legitimate Christian. Period. Christians will always disagree about important political & social issues and matters of doctrine. But at the end of the day, if someone affirms the essential truths outlined in the creeds, they are not heretics or apostates. 🎙️Holy Post 670 with @philvischer, @skyejethani & @kaitlynschiess

Yesterday I had lunch with my mentor & former pastor of 30 years @robertjmorgan. For 90 minutes his mouth dripped Scripture. He was tender, gentle & humble yet fearless in spine & truth. He ministered to me with the grace of kindness & friendship. I’m a wealthy man.

@Markins Yes, knew Psalty…but do you remember Gerbert from the “Friendship Company” kids album by Sandy Patti?? that’s a pretty deep cut and I doubt anybody knows that one. Or earlier, the Critter County album..

@garonnevik In our research on child faith formation, 2 way dialogue (parent & child) is where it’s at. It’s the “through line” of the 3 primary factors known to form kids with lasting faith in Jesus. This is a great story. Thank you.

@Markins Listening to it again as an adult when I found the CDs and played it for my kids made me realize how much theology was in those cassette tapes I listened to, and how much theology I had sneakily absorbed.
