Dallas continues to lead in financial services, innovation, and sustainable growth. @Johnson4Dallas and I look forward to representing Dallas in New York next week and sharing why companies choose our city — and why our momentum continues to grow.

Pro-business + pro-public safety attitude + Y’all Street talent concentration make Dallas America’s #1 city for free enterprise. Today we announced I’ll lead a business delegation with @KBTDallasCM to meet NYC corporate execs to bring even more investment from Big Apple to Big D.

Jesse Jackson was a towering figure in the civil rights movement and the fight for equal opportunity in America. His work has had a profound impact, and his legacy will live on. May his memory inspire all of us to “keep hope alive.”

Since 2023 when @DallasPD first began using blocker trucks at accident scenes, they have been deployed more than 1,200 times and saved countless lives. Now, thanks to @QuikTrip’s generosity, DPD will have 4 more trucks protecting first responders and civilians. Thank you QT!

The @GoldmanSachs new office expansion on Y’all Street is shaping up to be truly incredible! Yesterday, @JesseForDallas and I put on hard hats and toured the jobsite. Dallas continues to rise as a premier financial hub because we’re pro-business like no other urban center!

Dallas is going to win by being DALLAS. We are a deeply pro-business city with real urban culture, energy, and lifestyle. The world is taking notice, and people want to be part of what’s happening here. We're not interested in just being a bigger Frisco, and never will.

If Dallas is going to stay competitive, it has to lean into its identity as a pro-business urban center to leverage corporate flight from less-hospitable environments and stave off D-FW’s suburban upstarts, according to Mayor Eric Johnson. candysdirt.com/2026/02/04/may…

Today, on #InternationalHolocaustRemembranceDay, we solemnly remember the millions of lives lost in the Holocaust. We honor not only their loss, but also their stories of resilience in the face of tyranny and hate. This day also calls us to renew our commitment to confront antisemitism and all forms of intolerance—a fight that continues to this day.

⚠️ Don’t let the sun fool you #Dallas. Roads are still icy & dangerous. 📉 Data shows crashes in the last 6 hrs have already DOUBLED Sunday's total count. ❄️ If you don't have to travel, stay off the roads. Give crews & first responders space to work. #DFWTraffic #Dalaska

New info from @DallasEMCR: Right now, the City’s primary concern is roadway safety. As sunshine has increased travel activity, we have seen an increase in accidents and calls for service. @DallasPD is responding, and residents are strongly encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel. Because of road conditions, Dallas City Hall and other City facilities will be CLOSED on Tuesday, and residents can visit dal.city/WinterWeather2… for latest information on City services. Please stay home for a little longer! While the sun is coming out and precipitation has ended, it will take more time for roadway conditions to be restored to normal. We want everyone in Dallas to be safe!

Today’s update from @DallasEMCR: Conditions across the city are stable. Some thawing is expected this afternoon with sunshine, but refreezing conditions overnight will continue to create hazardous ice on roadways and sidewalks. Wind chills tonight and tomorrow morning are expected to remain dangerously low. The Fair Park inclement weather shelter supported over 1,100 people last night and has kept over 1,400 unsheltered residents warm over the weekend! @DDOTransport continues active road treatment and refreezing response operations, including deployment of plows to bridges, @DallasLoveField access routes, the Medical District and other critical corridors. @DallasFireRes_q run volume is up nearly 40% with teams conducting welfare checks on residents and responding to service calls. @Oncor reports that power outages remain low, with fewer than 100 customers impacted due to weather at this time. For the latest information on City services, stay posted at dal.city/WinterWeather2… While precipitation has ended, temperatures are still dangerously cold and road conditions can still be hazardous. @DallasPD continues to respond to accidents caused by the road conditions, so please continue to hunker down and avoid unnecessary driving at this time. Stay safe and warm, everybody!

Here’s the latest from @DallasEMCR: @CityOfDallas remains in response phase, with travel and infrastructure impacts expected to worsen today and continue through the weekend. The National Weather Service forecasts that temperatures will remain below freezing through at least Monday. At this time, impacts to the city are tracking as expected, and the situation remains stable. City teams are responding effectively with additional capacity in place if conditions worsen or there are unexpected impacts. The temporary inclement weather shelter at Fair Park supported over 800 people last night and remains fully operational. The City transported about 60 unsheltered residents to the shelter overnight and is prepared to transport more if needed. @DDOTransport is continuing sanding operations at bridges, overpasses, and other known trouble spots and crews are actively responding to downed traffic signals. And remember, in an emergency, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 311 (Our 311 team is fully staffed with no hold times reported). And for power outages, call @Oncor at (888) 313-4747. Stay safe out there, everybody!
