Our Focus on Florida’s Future Budget builds upon our historic investments in cancer research, innovation, and care. Highlights include: ✔ More than $232 million for cancer research ✔ $60 million for the Florida Cancer Innovation Fund ✔ $127.5 million for the Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Program ✔ And additional funding to support research and grants for pediatric cancer I also signed legislation to advance research and cures for rare diseases in children, standardize health and hearing screenings for newborns, infants, and toddlers, and ease the burdens of bureaucratic red tape for our health professionals.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Wishing everyone a safe and reflective Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Our Hope Florida nonprofits and faith partners do so much to help Floridians in need. It was a privilege to join @GovRonDeSantis today to personally thank 7 Panhandle-area partners and award them $20,000 each from the Hope Florida Fund.

Today I signed HB 7073 to provide billions of dollars in tax relief for Florida’s families and business, including various sales tax holidays and a 1-year break on insurance premium taxes for Florida’s homeowners.   Florida is the best place in the nation to raise a family and operate a business. The legislation I signed today will ensure Florida’s families and economy continue to thrive.

Thank you @GovRonDeSantis for encouraging Floridians to get outdoors, visit a state park, and spend time with their families. This Memorial Day weekend, families will be able to visit Florida State Parks for free.

So much of modern Florida is a credit to the legacy of Governor Graham. His commitment to stewardship of our environment and natural resources and respect for the dignity of work always stood out to me. He was loved by so many. My prayers are with his family on this sad day.🙏❤️

Today I signed HB 549, which will increase penalties for retail theft, porch piracy, and using social media to incite looting.   Many leftist jurisdictions are enacting policies that ignore retail theft or even encourage it. Those policies are dead on arrival in Florida. We catch criminals and prosecute them.

World Oral Health Day is March 20 and the Florida Dental Association wants to remind you to make sure you’re practicing good oral hygiene. This includes brushing, flossing and scheduling regular visits to the dentist!

Our work has made Florida the best state in the nation, and it will be safe, strong, and fiscally sound for generations to come.

FHA applauds the Florida Legislature for passing SB 644, Rural Emergency Hospitals, and funding the Rural Hospitals Capital Improvement Program with an allocation of $10 million recurring general revenue. Both measures will be sent to the Governor for approval in the coming months.   Thank you, Senator @csime90 and Representative @JasonShoafFL for championing these critical initiatives that will improve health care delivery in Florida’s rural communities.   SB 644 and the Rural Hospitals Capital Improvement Program ensures that all of Florida's rural hospital systems can access critical resources to continue providing quality care for Floridians close to home.

Great to be in Miami Beach this morning with local leaders and law enforcement who are working hard to ensure law and order during spring break. We welcome visitors who come to enjoy our great state, but we will not allow anyone to wreak havoc on our communities.
