@Benleo @SunPictureDesk British man and woman having a pint after work has finished shocker.
English

Kicked out of government and then off to the pub for a laugh and a giggle
All while the country remains crippled
Glad to see they’re having a good time

SUN EXCLUSIVE Keir Starmer resigned as PM - and went straight to the pub for some pints Fair play. thesun.co.uk/news/39820295/…

@Browning84Greg Think we will be 3rd at least to be honest. The rest of the league is utter shite

🏴 ⚽️ Anyone who seriously thinks Hearts are going to challenge for the title next season needs their head testing

They won’t be anywhere near the top come May - they’ll do well to finish 3rd

Cammy Devlin has left Hearts, the club have confirmed... #BBCFootball
English

@TessWhiteUK No we won’t. And I bet you’ve not been to a single football game in the last year. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not supporting a football rival who are from a foreign country.
English

HOW DARE SHE SPEAK FOR SCOTLAND‼️
This is maybe how the toxic Scottish NASTY Party behave but it is NOT representative of most of us who will be rooting for England this Saturday now that Scotland are out of the World Cup #WorldCup2026 ⚽️⚽️ 🇬🇧🏴🏴 #Bettertogether #Football

Sorry but I find this beyond pathetic.
English

@KylePagan_ Hilarious that you think this would automatically make your athletes good football players. You’d still be in the exact same position another 20-30 years down the line
English

@oliver_oawait @WarlordDilley Hilarious that you genuinely believe these athletes would automatically be great football players. Absolutely delusional
English

@WarlordDilley We’re not kicking their ass but you are correct- if we ever got serious about it we would dominate. We have crazy athletes
English

@KevinGSWatt @L__Macfarlane The irony of someone from an area that is subsidised substantially more than Scotland telling us to “pay our way” 🤣🤣🤣
It’s ALWAYS the ones from the economic backwaters. Always.
English

@L__Macfarlane How much extra does Scotland get per head than English regions. Try paying your own way.
English

Criminally misleading chart - England’s lead is mostly driven by immigration, which ironically Rees-Mogg wants less of.
Scotland’s GDP per capita has outgrown both the UK as a whole and England since the launch of the Scottish Parliament (chart in next post)
Jacob Rees-Mogg@Jacob_Rees_Mogg
Devolution is not the answer.
English

@sked21 Back to the real stuff now thankfully Joel and agree the new contract was wild. Clarke for me has wasted a decent generation of players. We’ve been crap in every group game again, we were lucky against Haiti if honest. One 0-0 against England is all he has done in 3 tournaments
English

Another feeble group stage showing has hammered home:
Giving Steve Clarke a 4-year deal ahead of the tournament was absolutely wild. An indefensible decision.
Anyway, much more importantly, Heart of Midlothian are back for pre-season today and maybe a trip to Tynecastle later!
The Terrace@terracepodcast
A furious review of Scotland 0-3 Brazil @craigfowler86 and @sked21 talk about Steve Clarke getting it wrong (again!), a rough four years ahead, the big players failing to perform, and the very few positives (Lewis Ferguson). youtu.be/XcOdWcpZpN4
English

@andygassant You clearly don’t understand the rules of the game. That is not a red card under any measure. Excessive force? No. Contact made? No. Endangering a players safety? No. Yellow is the correct decision
English

Haiti was robbed tonight. The referee ignored multiple fouls and refused to make crucial calls while FIFA’s VAR stayed silent.
@FIFAWorldCup #soccer

English

@FelipeCar It’s genuinely amazing how many people who work in sport that don’t understand the rules. It’s not a red card under any measure
English

@William01848 @AllFutbolMX Not endangering the opponent, no excessive force, not serious foul play. It’s never a red card. You might want to read the rules
English

@AndrewJMullen @AllFutbolMX Most obvious red card you ever will see, FIFA just trying to makeup for the first game. You still would’ve won but not the point
English

@lautarodeIcampo You need your eyes tested and to learn the rules of football. One doesn’t hit his hand and that challenge was never a red card. No excessive force, not endangering the player, not serious foul play. You’re talking absolute pish
English

@TMardius @PGonzalezMedia And the correct decision was made. It’s never a red card in a million years 🤦♂️
English

@PGonzalezMedia You don’t understand football. It’s not a red card. There is no element of danger and no excessive force, it’s clearly not serious foul play so a yellow is the correct decision. The second ‘handball’ clearly doesn’t even hit Hanley’s hand, the first is debatable I’ll grant.
English

@DevlinInfo The love is mutual. Praying we can see you in maroon again next season Cammy 🇱🇻♥️
English

@SaloMinSondon @helsbjambo @SimageryUK @BBCYorkSport Hearts would win league 1 by double figures of points. It’s an absolutely shit league
English

@helsbjambo @SimageryUK @BBCYorkSport Could say the same for the Welsh Premier League. EFL L1 is still a higher standard.
English

⚽️ BBC Radio York can confirm that York City have accepted a seven-figure sum for defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott from Hearts.
It's now down to the player to agree personal terms but if the transfer goes through, it would be a club record sale.
The previous record was £950,000 when Richard Cresswell joined Sheffield Wednesday in 1999.

▶️ Take a look at the VAR check that saw Celtic awarded a late penalty at Motherwell for handball.
At 6pm on @SkyFootball watch Scottish Football VAR Review to hear what the SFA's head of refereeing Willie Collum made of it 📺
English

@ScottishFA Since when do managers get to decide when a match ends? You make this seem like it is normal and acceptable. McInnes said that and this was done purely for the reasons of player safety. Not a single mention of that in your pathetic statement. Scotland’s shame
