It's my birthday today! 🥳🥳🥳 There's something so lovely about telling everyone and getting birthday wishes! It makes me feel warm & fuzzy. For my birthday I'm working at my desk this morning, gardening this afternoon, going for drinks with friends & having my grown kids here for a weekend of hiking, dinners, board games, family time. @PhoenixBlackNow I'm trying my hand at a pitch deck for the first time right now (well, I'm doing a very rough draft that I'll probably pay to get touched up). I definitely think script is more important, but hey, if it's a project you feel really good about, why not be prepared for anything?

For or against pitch decks? Someone experienced said they don’t do pitch decks or one pagers any more as they’re a disincentive to read the script. Are pitch decks the Cliff notes of scripts for lazy kids?

On behalf of his family, we are sad to share that Gerry Conway has passed away. Gerry was a tremendous icon in comics who shaped pop culture itself. He was a dear friend, partner, and mentor, and our hearts are with his family and the millions he touched through his work.

@disneymom1126 I think it should really depend on what the project needs, and to give yourself a hard and fast rule on it is doing yourself a disservice. Many of my villains/antagonists are redeemable. The villain in my current WIP though, is a total monster.

Do you make your villains with the thought This person’s an irredeemable monster?
