After taking a closer look and consulting with the Northern Tornadoes Project, it was confirmed that the image was AI generated. *PLEASE do not submit fake tornado reports or any other fake storm reports* While it might seem like an innocent prank or a way to troll, every tornado report that comes in has to be investigated and verified by our team. That process takes time and resources. During a real severe weather event, those resources are critical. If we are busy verifying a fake report, it increases the risk that a real tornado report could be delayed or even missed. We have tools that help us determine whether photos are legitimate, and fake submissions will be identified, so just don’t do it. Anyone caught submitting fake storm reports will be banned immediately from all of our pages and groups. - IW Team
