@BadgedPatriot " Also, in there is the scary word "Digital fingerprint". That is your vehicle info, which after 30 days, will no longer be linked to you." So they're going to send me a new plate and paint my car every 30 days?

So let me summarize this long read of a nothing burger. Flock DOES NOT sell your personal identifying data. Your data is kept for 30 days by the police in case its needed for a case. After that, personal data is "anonymized" to train their other products which MANY companies also do. Nowhere in any of that mess does it say the government is tracking you. Also, in there is the scary word "Digital fingerprint". That is your vehicle info, which after 30 days, will no longer be linked to you. All the rest of that about sharing with other law enforcement & third parties when required or they feel is in "good faith" is another scary way to say if its an emergency situation exists or required by law they will share info to help. I'd venture to say the "good faith" reasons are extremely strict & limited. I'm really glad this guy did this. It shows that flock is not sending private citizens data to Washington & it's not used to violate anybody's Constitutional rights. Can it be abused by rogue users? Sure it can but so can every other technology that is accessed by employees that handles & stores personal information. Bottom line....Flock is a useful Law Enforcement tool that citizens do not have to fear.

1/ Sturgeon Bay WI police dept. runs 10 Flock Safety license plate reader cameras ($61,500 over 2 years). I read the full signed contract, both invoices, the deployment map, and the WisDOT permits. Here is who gets the data, who can access it, where it goes, and how long it is kept.

@SenMastriano naming it anything "protection" act, what else is shoved in there? if it's being named for something so mundane, there's got to be a bunch of nonsense in there that we're giving up our rights on.

Could Daylight Saving Time Become Permanent? A major change may be on the horizon. The U.S. House of Representatives could vote this week on the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make Daylight Saving Time permanent year-round. If it passes the House, the bill would then move to the U.S. Senate for consideration. If approved, we'd enjoy later sunsets from November through early March. However, the tradeoff is that sunrise wouldn't occur until after 8:30 a.m. in many parts of the state during December and January.

"Abolish landlords." So if someone moves to a new city without savings, they'd have to live in hotels?? How exactly is that better? And what's the cutoff before a hotel becomes a landlord? Is it 30 days? Am I suddenly being "oppressed" on Day 31?
