Idk I know nothing about the judicial system, but isn't the burden of pretrial mostly on the prosecution to determine if the case is worth going to trial? It's not like the defense could have clinched a "not-guilty" verdict here, since the prosecution has enough to warrant a trial. Meaning, the defense would be better off saving their big guns for the actual trial, rather than showing their hand and giving the prosecution the opportunity to counter during the trial. That's what I would do. I wouldn't reveal shit during pre-trial. Now, if they also aren't called by the defense during the trial, then you have a very strong point of contention, here. I doubt it gets to trial, though. Tyler Robinson gets Jack Ruby'ed before it even starts, I guarantee it.

If Tyler Robinson’s parents did not actually identify him in the videos and/or turn him in, why didn’t the defense call them as a witness to establish this? Especially since they were in the courtroom and could easily have been called as witnesses. Serious question.

Would you entertain the idea (not accept, just entertain) that TR maybe was a victim of the CIA's MK Ultra and a Manchurian candidate slave? TR wasn't Mossad. Likely, he was unaware of any potential intelligence angle, but he played his part. Think about it like this: What I'm saying is "The CIA is really good at mind control because they've been refining the process for at least 80 years. They also have a black budget and zero oversight and if they *can* do something, they *are* doing it. They likely have thousands, or tens of thousands of these Manchurian candidates."
