Todays newer vehicles with all the electronics are just too finicky and undependable. Friend of mine had spent the day at an amusement park and when the tried to start his truck to go home, a bunch of fault messages appeared and it would not start. He tried things like checking all fuses, momentarily disconnecting the battery, jumping the battery, etc. Finally he paid $600.00 to have it towed to my shop. I diagnosed the problem to be water in the key fob. Dried it out and truck started fine. After all he did visit a water park. Its just a shame to me that this 2015 low mileage Ford truck left him and his family stranded because of water in the key fob. My 1979 Ford truck key could submerged in water all day and the truck will start fine. Because it doesn't have all the finnicky and fragile electronics on it. I am keeping my older vehicles running.
