Wow, 1Gb - 3kg of Carbon! Just had 10Tb of Ecology and Flood data handed to us!

@Just_Super One can be deployed on a project with a 1 page quick start guide, the other requires 14 volumes of text, preferably in a non-machine (or human) readable format, a 3 person management team and 5 times the software budget. End results are indistinguishable.

Someone help me here. Can you distinguish between Computer Aided Design and Building Information Modelling?

@Just_Super If you mean ISO19650 - Yes! If you mean an industry, albeit slowly, understanding the benefits of digitally led design/construction and benefits of data through lifecycle, maybe not.

Starting to wonder if #BIM did more harm than good to our industry… confusion abound in clients, contractors and consultants. Back to Basics lose the acronyms, campaign for plain English

Whats in a word??? Can someone define the word 'Plan' in the context of AEC Information Management. 1.BIM Execution Plan a wordy doc with list of metadata from an EIR. Often with little proceedure. 2.A Task/Master Information Delivery Plan a schedule of deliverables.

@Just_Super @NigelPDavies I find probably one of the least understood parts of ISO19650 and very difficult to implement without automation. Hence - no one bothers, unless it’s forced and automated thru “CDE” software.

@NigelPDavies In my experience folk aren’t bothering and it’s driving me nuts.

@drummytam69 Depends where you want to use the forms. @appenate or @fulcrumapp are quite good for mobile forms for on site survey type work. MS forms, survey monkey, @airtable for desktop based stuff depending if it’s for internal external use & what you want to do with the data.

What is the best form builder software out there?????

@JSDBroughton @Just_Super Thing for me is that it’s a data source that could be connected to many different end user tools and looked at in different ways, not really a ‘file’ someone would open and look at. So if you don’t know what it is and what it can do should you really be looking for it?
