Also wrote more about the decision here! TLDR: the most important skill for anyone who’s building something meaningful is the ability to tell compelling stories (and help others do the same). + podcasts are the most trustworthy medium to do that today! baernecessities.substack.com/p/why-im-betti…

Short notice ask: need someone to run a podcast shoot on Thursday in LA. Fairly simple, ~3 hours. Let me know if that’s you or you know someone please!

new project: cleo (kindle + llm) 📚 cleo is an ios app that pairs whatever book you're reading on kindle with an llm (o3) — ask questions, get recaps/summaries, or listen/discuss (think audiobooks but interactive). the llm has context on exactly where you are + the book contents. best part? no complex setup needed. just link your kindle account and that's it. it just works. reply / rt for testflight invite 👇

@johnhfio i would love to except if you’re traveling / digital nomading around the world, Instagram really is the best way to keep up with people. most international ppl opt to give their IG over Whatsapp… ive never had someone ask for Twitter handle (unless at crypto conference lol)

Passkeys are coming to the @DIMO_Network Mobile app and more importantly, to the developer platform. Soon you'll be able to take your connected car to any app in a click, and developers can piggy back off this experience to enhance their own services. @rawitz.eth/one-click-login-to-your-cars-connectivity-introducing-dimos-new-mobile-app" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">paragraph.xyz/@rawitz.eth/on…

one of my strongest-held beliefs: as it becomes easier & quicker for anyone to go from 0 to 1, your safety net is *not* your product. it's your ability to *control the narrative* around your niche. & this narrative starts with high-quality, founder-driven content.

A big reason I love ghostwriting for tech cos: You get paid to learn from some of the smartest people and companies in the world. It's a cheat code for practicing your craft + learning a ton along the way.

@jar3dwolf i believe there's a middle ground here -- just because you work remote, doesn't mean you lock yourself in your room everyday. company retreats, conferences, working at cafes / coworking spaces... all re-create that fun factor I think people are looking for in an office.

I used to think there's nothing worse than working in a cubicle. Realize now there's nothing worse than waking up everyday and sitting in a living room by yourself. Being "stuck in an office" isnt the problem. It's boring companies and boring teams solving boring problems. The only people who should work remote are parents and caretakers, people with disabilities, and occasional traveling to complement PTO. Everyone else should get out of the decaying comfort of their house, face reality, and be a human being. It will make you much happier in the long-term and I'm sure there's already studies coming out to prove this
Sam Parr@thesamparr

You know what sucks a bit about the remote work stuff? I read all the bios of big shots. So often there are fun stories about them traveling for work, having life changing interactions with people at the office, and just all types of in person hijinks that turn into fun stories. My work is remote and I'm for sure bummed to miss out on some of those potentially adventure-creating memories.
