@LEC_Wooloo Or you could avoid the whole problem and not massively increase spending by simply using a seeding system. Counter-Strike's Bucholz might not be ideal but it would never ever make a draw as bad as we got if we have proper seeding.

OPINION: How to fix Worlds Swiss Stage - Remove Play-Ins - Make Swiss Stage 4 rounds Why? - Play-ins were built partly to avoid predictable stomps in Group Stages with wildcard teams going 0-6, but in a Swiss Stage, match-ups even out after 2-3 games, making it less necessary - With 4 victories or defeats needed, "lucky" or "unlucky" draws are mathematically less likely to happen, overcoming some issues we saw this year and evening out draw difficulty, especially with the no-rematch rule Problem: Now you need 32 teams total and a 16-teams playoffs. Personally, I would enjoy it, especially if seeded. It would make the tournament longer but without play-ins it's doable imo. More teams going also means happier sponsors. What do you think? (yes it's the new EMEA Masters format)
