Responses to this tweet underlines the fact that many in Irish society think it is OK for Irl to free ride on others, take solidarity on Brexit but have no sense of solidarity for partners who are exposed. We are fortunate in our geographical position-we can indulge ourselves

Second time Irish Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD -PM-arriving at defence think-in. Accepting that EUB will play a role-open to defence bonds in future. Watch this space-IRL will not stop other EU states doing what they need to do but that will not be enough. Irish policy will shift

SF’s agenda in the North tends to focus on ethnic nationalist concerns, while SF prioritises more typical social democratic issues in the South. But when nationalist interests are relatively secure in the North, its agenda shifts to a policy focus that resembles the South. 3/4
