@Michael18282186 Completely untrue. Council Tax is failing because it’s based on 1991 housing prices. Politics of easy answers has no place in this debate

@JonathanBrash Council tax could be reduced if you had more people employed and less people relying on adult and child social care. This is a failing on your part and the council on addressing these issues. If you actually took some responsibility people might respect you better.

@JonathanBrash after listening to your speech. Wayne lived his life peacefully, intergrated and lived harmoneously along side foreign nationals. This was his outcome. Thoughts?

🚨BREAKING | Burnham confirms he will SUPPORT every single one of Shabana Mahmood's immigration proposals. Burnham will vote in favour of Mahmood's Bill tonight, without any changes. A spokesperson said: “This is about ensuring the system is fair". (Source: Huffington Post UK)

Great piece from @JonathanBrashMP on why it's time to replace Council Tax. In Hartlepool, our proposals would see 100% of households pay less, with average savings of around £950 a year. Fairer for families, fairer for communities. hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/people/ha…

@JonathanBrash So why are you still in a party that self evidently cannot be trusted on immigration? Not only did Labour initiate this catastrophic neoliberal policy it is full of backbenchers demanding ever more liberal and ‘kinder’ immigration policies.

Jonathan Brash MP - "Estates do need to be managed, but we should go back to how they were managed: by local authorities. That is the way to truly fix the system: ensure that every estate is adopted by every council and drive these estate management companies into the dust where they belong." Thank you for your strong message @JonathanBrash We need more MP's to support #RetrospectiveUniversalAdoption #StopTheRotAdoptTheLot #EndUnadoptedEstates #TurnOffTheTap @PeterKLamb @GoAndrCoop @andyburnham @mtpennycook @FloEshalomi

@JonathanBrash So @JonathanBrash can you show prove about the council tax that when Starmer and labour announced not a penny more in council tax it was said it was only the core council tax that would be frozen, if you can then I will the back the claim labour lied about it

@Stuart61838784 Not at all, but the poorest (By the definition of the bloody word) were always protected. The threshold was *too* low and I was proud to get it lifted.

@JonathanBrash So if you admitted the threshold was to low it would affect some of the poorest pensioners, are you trying to say that the pensioners just above are well off on 11800

@Stuart61838784 No, the poorest (by literal definition of the word) were beneath the threshold and protected. Choose a different word and we’ll agree.

@JonathanBrash That’s my point the threshold was to low and affected the ones who was just above threshold as they part of the poorest, I agree it needed to be threshold to make it fairer as people who was well of was getting it and labour got the thresh right in the end after 10 months

@Stuart61838784 If you admit there was a threshold then you admit the poorest pensioners were always protected. 🤝

@JonathanBrash tell me what the first threshold before you the u-turn because the backlash you got, seems it’s only labour that didn’t 1 person wasn’t affected which their was, their was on the news with pensioners and family with how they was affected, labour are so out of touch with reality

@Stuart61838784 Don’t run away. The poorest pensioners were always protected. That’s how means testing works, but I believed the threshold was too low and successfully lobbied ministers to increase it. But your assertion is factually wrong. Do you accept that?

@JonathanBrash @JonathanBrash you talk so much nonsense and that’s why the public don’t trust your party, next you will be saying labour job tax hasn’t destroyed thousands of businesses and jobs and your party are not putting immigrants in accommodation before British homeless on the streets

@Stuart61838784 No, genuinely if you don’t understand the policy that’s fine BUT poorest pensioners were always protected - it’s just a fact .

@JonathanBrash Wrong at first before the u-turn the first 10 months hit the poorest pensioners and that’s why you moved the threshold to higher which now doesn’t which is good, labour just can’t admit when mistakes are made and are hysterics and won’t call a GE like you all called for

@JonathanBrash So how is it a lie,the poorest pensioners had to suffer the first 10 months before you did a u-turn and pith the threshold hold up which is now correct, you voted against a grooming gang inquiry, labour didn’t say just the core council tax would be frozen, so the only lie from you

@Stuart61838784 All of this is a lie. Poorest pensioners always protected. A pensioner couple can have an income of up to £69,000 and still receive it. We have a grooming gang inquiry underway. In Hartlepool, core council tax was frozen.

@JonathanBrash @JonathanBrash can you really call another party a joke when you’re the Labour Party and you voted to protect grooming gangs and take away winter fuel allowance away from the poorest pensioners, also let’s not forget you spent over year saying labour wouldn’t raise council tax
