I agree. To miss an EU email on ventilator procurement that potentially could save thousands of lives? Its a first order disgrace,as is the incredible attempt to save face. But the policy reversal is salient. In Johnson’s deep heart he must know Brexit is a self-harming disaster.

I know the story’s a day old now but I still can’t believe the government claimed to have missed an email asking them to join the EU ventilator procurement when a cabinet minister literally confirmed receipt of that invitation on primetime TV a week earlier
