When children are free to study, dream, and explore, entire communities rise. And that is why Assam government under the visionary leadership of HCM Dr @himantabiswa is standing strong against child marriage. Let’s unite against child marriage and open the doors to education, dignity, and opportunity. Together with UNICEF, we’re shaping a childhood every child truly deserves. #WorldChildrensDay #UNICEFindia

Progress begins when children are allowed to grow without barriers. Under the steadfast leadership of HCM Dr. @himantabiswa, Assam intensifies its fight against child marriage and strengthens the path of learning and dignity for all. With UNICEF we are building the foundation of a safer tomorrow. #WorldChildrensDay #MyDayMyRight #UNICEFindia

For Every Child, A Better Tomorrow On World Children’s Day, HCM Dr. @himantabiswa reaffirms Assam’s commitment to nurturing safe, healthy and empowering spaces for every child to learn, play and grow. A future-ready Assam begins with its children.

At today’s #SishuMitraBartalap in the Assam Police Institute, we sat with children from various Child Care Institutions and spoke about the world as they feel it….dreams that stretch wide, doubts they hide, friendships they treasure, and fears they rarely name. To paraphrase Whitney Houston, ‘I believe the children are our future’ and our commitment is simple, to make sure every child finds the khaki uniform to be a safe, steady presence they can trust. #AssamPoliceSishuMitra

Assam partners align CSR so girls can learn and stay safe in tea + flood belts. 👉 “Foundation first, then skills—with continuity by design.” 👉 CSR actions in tea/flood clusters; UNICEF–CSR AA as the convergence backbone. Join the #PromiseToChildren campaign with @ICC.

Met the @UNICEFIndia delegation led by @UNICEFIndiaRep, Ms Cynthia McCaffrey at APHQ to discuss the progress of the #AssamPoliceSishuMitra programme. We decided to continue collaborating to strengthen child-friendly policing, while systematically documenting every lesson learnt, so best practices can improve protection mechanisms across the board. We also agreed to deepen our collective work on Children’s Digital Rights, drawing on Assam’s pioneering experience. UNICEF remains committed to provide technical support in knowledge management, evidence generation & facilitating inclusive multi-stakeholder forums. We reiterate our commitment to a safer, more inclusive future #ForEveryChild. @himantabiswa
