@TowersStreet @CBeebiesLand Paid queue jump options are crap. I know it makes money but still.

For the first time since @CBeebiesLand opened in 2014, Fastrack has today been added to the children’s area. With two packages available; two rides for £7 or three rides for £10. Rides include Bluey the Ride, Octonauts, Go Jetters, In the Night Garden and Get Set Go.

@ProjectBedford I have the BBC and Met office app. The BBC app tends to show the summary as the worst case scenario for the whole day and MetOffice is more optimistic. I will always look deeper but I do find it strange how they differ.

@TowersTimes Never rode them. I'd love them to remove the golf attraction and put powered or rowing boats back in. A classic look in front of the towers. And while you're at it pop a lovely themed carousel instead of the arcade

Did you ride the Splash Cats? Located on the lake now home to Battle Galleons, these self-driven boats sailed from the 1960s until the addition of the Swan Boats. From 1987-1996 the Splash Cats operated on the lake near where Spinball Whizzer is now located. #ThrowbackThursday

@TowersStreet The overhead pic shows how open Dark Forest could become again. Hopefully one day it will become more spacious.

It’s set to get a repaint next week, so today we look back at the iconic Corkscrew, which opened in 1980 in what is now the Dark Forest. In 1999 the ride was rethemed with a prehistoic look to fit its new area of Ug Land, before closing at the end of 2008. #ThrowbackThursday

In 1992, the ride was relocated to Thunder Valley, gaining the Beastie name due to its proximity to The Beast rollercoaster! From 1997 - 2010, The Beastie operated in its final location, where Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure stands today. Did you ever ride this coaster?

With the upcoming addition of the Bluey rollercoaster, let's look back this #ThrowbackThursday to another family coaster - The Beastie! Initially opening in 1983 as the Mini Dragon Coaster, this Pinfari coaster was located behind what is now the TH13TEEN photo booth.

@ThemeParkWW Vekoma flyer tied with intamin multi launch. My dream is Alton would scrap Galactica, replace with multi launch. Rita replaced with vekoma flyer around the forest and 13 theme

If you could bring one new coaster type to the UK that’s not already in one of our theme parks, what would you choose? 🤔 For me it would have to be an Intamin LSM Launch Coaster with plenty of airtime 😍

I do miss the old look of the entrance plaza at Alton Towers. The ticket kiosks were iconic and the flagpoles looked great too. I’d love to see the entrance have a revamp, including new features and a more permanent security area instead of the temporary tents!

@TowersTimes Excellent area. That style of play area would be very useful somewhere in the park today. Also the rowing boats were cool. I'd rather have them back now and get rid of the golf. Looks awful

For today's #ThrowbackThursday, let's jump back 40 years to the opening of Kiddies Kingdom! Located where the front of CBeebies Land & Spinball Whizzer are today, the area was gradually redeveloped into the one we see today. Did you experience Kiddies Kingdom?

@ThemeParkWW Probably prefer the original colours slightly but like the extra theming pieces of the new version. The ride experience is pretty much the same

Waking up this morning to the sad news that Adam The Woo sadly passed away yesterday. Adam was my favourite YouTuber, someone that I have watched for a very long time and a huge inspiration for me to start documenting my own adventures. Sending our thoughts to his family 💔
