I say, legislation must conform to the social mores of the nation. *Objectively*, how offensive must X be to be obscene? No objective method, yet obscenity still exists. Thus, I reject the freedom to be obscene. gg

@Jondo_I @NeetzscheLLC @vocalcry If it applied and you couldnt make a sensible distinction you'd be justified in Banning everything you don't like. Which is what you're trying to do. Obviously objective criteria are necessary to justify a restriction of the freedom of expression.

It’s really incredible she turned the backlash to her deeply inappropriate and unprofessional tweet about saving a man who raped and killed a 93 year old woman from the death penalty as somehow sexism against HER like just truly incredible. If she was trolling it’d be a 10/10 no notes situation but this person actually believes they were the victim in this thing they completely instigated 😂

You're bitching about the inability of *anyone* to objectively state the: № of grains to = a pile / offensiveness of X to = obscene

The Point of legal Definitions is to create sharp Lines. You Just cant because it's Not about objectivity for you, it's about what makes you uncomfortable.

The solution is to draw absolute (albeit arbitrary) thresholds, even when doing so results in a higher-order Sorites paradox.

"Nobody is talking about porn-" (again) if *ANYTHING* can be considered art, then there is "art" (scare quotes to say: '[so-called] art' for I am skeptical of the word's usage) worth restricting. I haven't referred to lit., or a piece of lit. as [so-called] "art". I have *repeatedly* said 'IF *anything* can be considered art then there IS art worth restricting'.

Can you not think of any form of expression you might want to limit or outlaw with regards to children? "whining" LOL I have not once said literature cannot be art. Keep up.

Thus, you must concede those in favour of prisons to be "anti-freedom", just as I, for my opposition to an unlimited freedom of expression, exposing itself to the vulnerable.
