Brian Brobbey with the dirtiest performance I've seen in a long, long time. Should have had about 5 yellows. Ended a players' World Cup. Disgusting from Rob Jones and Don Goodman for enabling that kind of behaviour. Unsportsmanlike. Disgusting.

@_toosb Couldn’t agree more. What an over reaction. Results are obviously what matters, but people react only to results, and then go overboard. So much nonsense going about. For the record, I thought it was a close game, but we gave away a stupid pen and they scored a cracker from range

Dreadful first half which sealed our fate. But a snapshot into what this season was expected to be like most weeks. Usual over reaction from the usual suspects.

@GlassesCraig @RokerReport Can you look amazing and not do much? I agree with the point, it was a tight game, we gave a crap pen away and they score a beaut from outside the box. The reaction, understandably, is always based on the result, rather than performance

Unfortunately afternoons like these are going to happen occasionally in the Premier League. It's almost February and I thought we'd have had a lot more of them than this, but there we go - it is what it is. West Ham played well and scored two brilliant goals. Our goal was also great but it was too little, too late. Pointless losing our shit over it like, we've had a brilliant season so far.

@Terry94023972 Le Fee must play, surely. More a case of whether he plays off the left. I’d be very tempted to play Le Fee in the middle and put Diarra on the right, where he has apparently played before

Why the fuck does Diarra have to play instead of Le Fee Played 4 games at start of season and was ok. No better than that Now suddenly coz he's cost lot of dosh it's a ' dilemma ' leaving him out Let him earn place , just like Le Fee has, otherwise he can stay on bench #safc
A LOVE SUPREME@ALS_Fanzine

WHERE DOES ENZO FIT? Regis Le Bris has a bit of a dilemma on his hands regarding Sunderland's midfield. Enzo Le Fee has undoubtedly played his best football since being moved to his preferred central position, but Habib Diarra is now match fit. As our club record signing, Le Bris will eventually be looking for a way to get Diarra into the midfield while also trying not to derail Enzo's great form. KEEP IT CONSISTENT "Usually I like riding the momentum. I prefer consistency and continuity rather than changing everything because I know at this level just subtle changes can disturb the dynamic of the team. It's always slight adjustments, so we'll work like that." LIKE A NEW SIGNING "It will be a new start. The story is different now for him and for the squad as well. It's more or less a new signing because he only played three or four games at the beginning of our journey, then he got this injury. The team evolved massively." VERSATILITY IS KEY "What we know is he's a great player and he's really young and he can play in different positions. At Strasbourg he played in the middle - 6, 8, 10 - he can play as a winger sometimes. He's versatile, strong, has a willingness to learn. This is the dynamic of the Premier League, you always need to evolve, so it's positive news for us."

The end of Ticketmaster at SAFC can't come quickly enough. Seemingly anyone with a customer number has been able to buy Wembley tickets meaning we've potentially got Season Ticket holders now missing out. Shambles. #SAFC

Some historic events occurring in the region today, including @justin_millican turning out for the 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th time for this Club. Justin has seen it all, from near extinction to league champions and this feat, at this level of football, is an absolutely mindblowing achievement 💚

@Ethan__Todd2 @Capt_Fishpaste I think his point is that no half decent player in their right mind would sign for us on the basis they will play if our 3 left backs are injured. Its frustrating that we have an injury crisis, but they happen and you can’t have limitless decent players

@Capt_Fishpaste It’s not up to us as fans to go to bat for the recruitment teams… they get paid a very fair wage to source these players. And I didn’t specify a quality young player - just a short term deal to tide us over would’ve been a benefit

Dennis Cirkin and Leo Hjelde both missing for Sunderland’s Millwall game this weekend 😬 You just can’t defend the recruitment team’s strategy during the January window imo - we’ve been left so bare at full-back as we all said - now with no LB for weeks Not good enough #SAFC

I wonder how many reading this would describe PB as one of best players they saw in a b and w shirt. A very sad article about a bloke who brought some fantastic memories. How times have changed since many of us played in junior football.

@UndrTheCosh What a truly magnificent player. First question, can we be friends? Second question, until reid came in we seemed to really underachieve, who was the worst manager he had at Sunderland?

@AndyTommoSafc @Philip_RJ89 Game management is the worse phrase in football. Buzz words that don’t mean much. I think Reg has done a great job, but he needs to look at rotating and using his bench. For me, we have a good squad and the first XI is always the same and subs are rare, so they get leggy

No gripes with that result at all. They’re a superb side and overall, they deserved the win. I think that’s the story of our season to a large extent — good, but not quite good enough. Great attitude and work rate, but it’s just that extra percentage that we lack. #SAFC

@Ethan__Todd2 I agree that he’s not started great, but I’m not sure anyone can be fully match fit having played so little over 6-7 months. I guess I’m just happy to reserve judgement until he’s played a bit more. Time will tell

@JonnyWailes He’s obviously match fit or he wouldn’t be playing and had had months already to gel with the team - I’d flip that and say given his pedigree we should be seeing more. Just my opinion though

I thought when Salis Abdul Samed signed that he’d be monumental in the promotion push But, deal has proven to be a complete waste - injured for months then when fit has had absolutely no impact on the team or performances - no intensity whatsoever Really disappointing #SAFC
