Wii mini feature restoration... Wifi, SD card slot, reset button, and 480p component video now working. I used kits from store.webhdx.dev and I assembled some of these too github.com/Wii-Mini-Hacki…

@PeacefulOutcome No harder than any other mod kit (e.g. HDMI type ones) for retro consoles. Just less room, small connector clips and small screws to deal with.

@JonoSharp Looks super clean. How hard is this install? I actually prefer the smaller size of the lite.

Can't say I do these very often. I much prefer to work on retro stuff but anyway I did one of these today.

@BlackhawkTim The parts as in the mod kits? They're on AliExpress still though not as obvious as before. Usually the first photo is kind of generic to avoid attention.

@JonoSharp May I ask where you guys are sourcing these parts from? I have a donor Switch OLED I’ve been wanting to upgrade.

@Nitehack I'm guessing there's a reason why you don't want to go too large with 4 wire resistive touchscreens though of course.

@Nitehack It looks great and the scaling looks perfect on that 10.4"? Would going bigger with the LCD and a custom 4:3 resistive touch overlay work as well, if it was 4-wire, like the DS? Thinking about 4:3 LCD screens where the DS output res would still scale and fill properly.

My dream is finally becoming a reality Nintendo DS for HDMI displays. And yes, I'll be making it open source for everyone! 🔓 Coming soon... still a work in progress!

IC11 replaced. Boots fine now :-) input probs of course. So new keyboard membrane to order. Stuff like recap and replace old voltage regulator to do still. Grabbed a few Bluetooth receiver boards to try that mod where you can load programs via phone app.

Bought this ZX Spectrum computer the other day from my local Marketplace. Couldn't pass it up with the box. Composite video mod done first so don't have RF scan for picture. Failed to boot. Lower RAM fault in IC11.

@Nitehack Would a really low lag 4:3 display combined with a IR touch frame possibly be in the scope of support?

@JonoSharp I had the same vision! Once I finish everything, I'd love to put one on the wall. It would be really cool

A Little TLC instead of DLC... New save game battery, low profile holder installed for easy swap, a quick little recap, and cleaning of the pins. Done.

@nosIndulgences I did a PU-20 front mount a couple of years ago. Definitely more clearance space on the back to lay the board.

#PSX I’m surprised that there’s no readily available wiring schematic of the #MFO for the more uncommon #PU20 motherboard. Looks like I might have to create something for the community again for a possible rear mount, like what I did for the #PU22.

@nosIndulgences @LukesGameStuff Good reminder. I think I've only had one with this failure too but it is always on my mind if Im sent PS1 "with a dead laser" for xstation install. I keep a couple good lasers handy for this reason to test.

#PS1 #PSX #xStation If yours stopped working after an extended period of unuse, and you’re absolutely certain that all your solder points are rock solid, all contact pins are clean, take a look at the CD-ROM Decoder chip - IC305. Apparently a common point of failure due to age.

@DelaEpoca1084 @ConsoleMods The pins that need to be soldered to have pads. Apart from a couple of anchor points, the rest don't have pads.
