@JonoSharp I don't plan to support IR touch frames, at least not in the initial release. Right now, I'm using a 10.4" resistive touchscreen, which doesn't require any additional hardware or programming

@Nitehack Would a really low lag 4:3 display combined with a IR touch frame possibly be in the scope of support?

My dream is finally becoming a reality Nintendo DS for HDMI displays. And yes, I'll be making it open source for everyone! 🔓 Coming soon... still a work in progress!

Just confirming what we already knew. But a video is worth a thousand words 😉 DSi running on an HDMI display📺 So yes, a DSi capture card is possible

@OfcaTheSheep I can't give you an estimated timeline since this is just a hobby for me, so many factors affect it. I work on it in my free time, so it depends on whether I have time, I'm motivated, and I have the resources to keep going But the good news is the hardest part is working! 😉

@studiodelatorre Yes! That was my inspiration! I wanted to make it a reality, but in a way that anyone can build it, so I'm going to make it open source. That way, it will never die, and people will be able to improve it

@mahounonina Yes, of course. I only tried it with one screen simply because I was tired of soldering wires. I'm planning to make a flex PCB to make that step easier

@Nitehack Ooh, is it possible to keep the DSi both screens working with this solution? Assuming spaghetti mess of wires outside?

@ohshitnicksnax Thanks! I'll publish all that information when I release the project. Although I don't remember if this information was on gbatek. In the end, I had to analyze the signals with a logic analyzer and compare them with datasheets of similar LCDs

@Swampert_Tube I'm sorry, it works on the DS Lite and DSi (although I haven't tested it on the DSi yet)

@Aster899 It has 2 HDMI outputs, my goal wasn't to have an HDMI output. I wanted separate displays. Anyway, there are hdmi multiviewer switches that combine several images from HDMI into a single screen for around €20 on AliExpress

@Nitehack Does it convert to one or two HDMI outputs? my concern if it’s just one is requiring two capture cards

@DarthMotzkus Because I have the Flashme firmware on my DS Lite that autoboots to slot-1 without going through the menu

@Aster899 It's for the DS Lite, but it should be compatible with the DSi. I haven't tested it with the DSi yet

@Nitehack Is this only for DS Phat, or is Lite/i also supported?

@TheRealMibby Yeah, ever since I saw that video when I was a kid, I always wanted it, But it wasn't an open project, so I never got to have it, but that's changed now. That's been my inspiration
