@char_bone 100%, even as a Principal Engineer, I am open that my weaknesses are around infrastructure, so if I have infra questions or am asked them myself I always refer to my nearest friendly infra engineer as the expert

Happens in competitive environments. If you've ever worked somewhere with a good company culture, you'll see that this doesn't happen and people will happily go to a person who does know to learn from them.

@char_bone Yeah it’s always the height, I’ve had people I met for first time be like “wow your tall” (I’m not that tall but relative to what they expected)

@JonthanFielding I think that everyone always seems exactly as I've known them remotely (we have lots of video calls). It only tends to be height that I have no idea what to expect!
