In 2021, I walked away from the F&B industry after @ToyRoomLondon acquisition by @pacha . COVID exposed how broken the system was — not just financially, but across how we create and share value. The barriers in our capitalist system were glaring. Consumers spent. Brands earned. Ownership? Reserved for a privileged few. It was time to break down those walls. My awakening started in 2017 with the orange pill from @AnthoLGSB and an early investment in @swissborg 's pre-seed. Web3 gave me a glimpse of something greater — a chance to rewrite how value flows. Fuelled by my passion for human experiences and the love that unites us, I founded @tiltt_labs. I learned. Failed. Built again with @Hearst_io @WeMineFi. Every step reaffirmed one truth: we can turn the intangible into assets, giving communities a stake in what they love. Now, alongside the brilliant @DLophem , my mentor @AnthoLGSB , and a visionary team, I’m thrilled to introduce the next evolution of this vision: @EatwithNomu Nomu isn’t just a fish that avoids becoming Pudgy Penguin food. It’s a revolutionary economic model that rewards the network value of a community. The first true social currency — evolving memes from fleeting hype to engines of real-world impact. @0xDesigner Speaking to my soul. Tokenisation should be a proxy of attention. A catalyst for value creation and distribution within our consumerist society. Don’t change the rules of the game, just the gameplay.

i’ve been trying to be really honest with myself about my objection to coins. there’s nothing wrong with using coins for speculation or even internet gambling. that’s not it. but when “tokenize everything” optimizes for speculation, liquidity and market formation, the result is always highly fractionalized assets that show up as money in your wallet. and the real issue is a tokenized artifact loses meaning when it’s fractionalized. you lose the option to signal your identity through the thing. we are social beings that signal values, status and belonging through what we own and display. you can’t wear the Air Jordan 1 Chicago when you own 0.0000001% of it and signal your subculture rebellion. you can’t play a physical Miles Davis or Wu Tang Clan vinyl and signal depth over convenience. you cant showcase an Eames chair in your living space and signal your value for craftsmanship and design heritage. fractionalizing turns these things into abstract investments. what you get in access, liquidity and market efficiency you lose in identity design. maybe there’s a world where you can fractionalizing something AND showcase your ownership. for now, it seems like as long as coins (or any token) are represented as prices and charts in your wallet, they’ll be treated like money and not cultural artifacts.
