The first time in British history that the Greens have topped a national poll for Westminster.
Despite whatever talking points you’ll hear in legacy media my sense is they are gently nibbling into people who were considering Reform.

@Joris_Bohnson__ Diesel driver right now at £9.50 a gallon 10k miles a year 55mpg ( best of luck) £1700 plus servicing a year EV Lr 2230kwh - 4.5miles per KWh at 5p - £111 …. You work it out - with zero servicing and 300+ miles range

The greatest decision anyone can make right now is to install a home EV charger (if they have a drive etc).

6.5 years later (never having a service), decided to take my car in for a checkup...absolutley nothing wrong with it.
Changed the tyres once, a few windscreen wipers and air filters.
Can still pull a 3.3second 0-100
And cost about $300 over its lifetime to charge...

I am afraid @ClaireCoutinho shows that she is not a scientist. The impacts of climate change on the U.K. will only stop increasing when the world reaches net zero. More U.K. fossil fuel development will not help achieve global net zero.

Many of the staunchest climate advocates have admitted: using our own gas is better than importing dirtier gas from far away. Anyone who says otherwise is not a ‘scientist’, they’re a complete and total quack and should not be taken seriously.

China deployed 100 fully autonomous electric mining trucks (mid-2025)… each running ~500–570 kWh batteries. That’s ~10× a Model Y. In -40°C. Swapping in minutes. Scaling to 10,000+ by 2026. This is the industrialisation of #Bettrification. Diesel doesn’t stand a chance.⚡🔋
