I think there are a couple of avenues that are getting crossed here. I can only speak for our place tho. Ultimately, we welcome all media outlets, recruiting services and even social channels that report on student athletes and games. However, there is a growing issue with individuals who video & take photos and charge players for those videos and photos. It’s a bit disingenuous to claim you are “covering” the game to then turn around and charge players for “content”. It’s also important to know who is on your sideline and they should be credentialed. Schools can welcome media while still having guidelines and media should willingly follow the guidelines. We have so many great media that follow the guidelines.

Ultimately here’s the issue. Journalism informs the audience. We inform College Coaches. Most programs see the value in both. I think there should be more respect and professionalism from both avenues.

Following a long and hard-fought day of volleyball at the Finley Center, @Thompson_Vball head coach Judy Green recapped the day after a 3-0 win over Vestavia Hills and a 3-2 loss to Austin, as her team looks ahead to an early wake up tomorrow to play at 8:30 a.m.
