Africa holds 60% of the world's best solar potential & receives only 2% of global clean energy investment. With the right finance, the continent could generate 10 times more electricity than it needs by 2040 – entirely from renewables. Africa must be at the centre of climate justice.

Boosted by China's zero-tariff policy for African countries with diplomatic ties, a growing wave of African specialty products hit the Chinese market, unlocking fresh opportunities for robust bilateral trade. In 2025, China's trade with these 53 African countries reached a record high of 348.08 billion U.S. dollars. In the first quarter of 2026, the figure amounted to 92.16 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year surge of 26.8 percent.

We discussed the situation in South Sudan and emphasised the importance of dialogue among the parties. Uganda will continue supporting peace efforts as stability in South Sudan, especially in the Equatorial region where many Ugandans live, is important for regional security and prosperity.

Africa is not the future — it is the present. With the youngest population, vast resources, and rising ambition, the world cannot afford to ignore it. The real question is: are we ready to unlock it? #AfricaRising
