17 Arrested in Major North Philly Drug Ring Bust, AG Announces PHILADELPHIA — A large-scale drug trafficking organization that operated for years in North Philadelphia has been dismantled, officials announced Wednesday. Attorney General Dave Sunday, alongside multiple federal and local agencies, confirmed that 17 members of the organization — including alleged leader Louis Alexander, 56 — have been arrested and charged. Authorities say the group was responsible for distributing large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and other drugs, while also using firearms to protect their operation. During coordinated raids across 30 locations, investigators seized: •27 firearms •Over 4 pounds of cocaine •130 pounds of marijuana •Fentanyl, crack cocaine, Ecstasy, and cash proceeds Officials say the investigation spanned multiple jurisdictions, including Philadelphia, Delaware County, and New Jersey.
