This audience stat for my channel has always disheartened me; wish it was more balanced. I’m not sure if I’m unintentionally doing something in my videos, or if my subject matter traditionally attracts a male audience? Would love any ideas on how I could turn this around.

New raised pedestrian crossing on Coulson St! Thanks to locals who helped us build the case & @cityofsydney for getting it done. Combined with crossings at Sydney Park Rd, Bamal Way and Macdonald St, walking in this part of Erko is a much better experience.

@EngineerDustin Bikes are space-inefficient (moving and parking) compared to walking + public transport, and are only the best non-car solution in sprawling areas.

@SydneyYIMBY Not a fan of only 'tall towers' but that's not exactly what the plan shows. It has quite a lot of 4-8 storey buildings, which are what I prefer to live in personally.

A bit disappointing that this is coming as a substitute for broader housing diversity. Why do you think about this tradeoff?

@pixeltoofar @AussieWirraway Sure... but they were rolled out originally at the same time. Sounds like bad choices were made in the original Myki setup from what you are saying, and they have failed to fix them? But I don't see how iPhone timing is relevant.

@JosephineRoper4 @AussieWirraway Where do I even start with a comment like that... (credit cards having nothing to do with it). The basic setup of a system does mean if it is "closed" or "open" system and how easy it can be to upgrade/add things.. This is not a "policy thing" but a technology thing.

I can’t be bothered having Myki discourse again, but like it’s a simple plastic card like all my other ones, I have auto-top up enabled so I never run out of money, and the fare system is simple and easy to understand It’s literally fine, it works well, don’t get upset over it

@pixeltoofar @AussieWirraway Why is it relevant? Phone tapping is just a bonus on top of credit card tapping. Credit cards existed, Opal (Sydney) was upgraded to use them in 2017-2019, after first being rolled out around the same time as Myki. Not a timing problem. Just continued investment.
