1/n In the last month @Josh29842 has posted three dozen tweets (!) attacking Bełzec on the same move: Yitzhak Arad's 1987 textbook map shows camp buildings and Andrzej Kola's 1997-99 archaeology map shows mass graves, but the two don't overlay perfectly, so it's all fake. The argument is super problematic for a ton of reasons. Putting aside all the physical evidence, Bełzec wasn't a single static camp. It was rebuilt twice across sixteen months, the wooden gas chambers were demolished mid-1942 and replaced with a stone building on the same site. Then in late 1942 the SS used an excavator to reopen graves to burn the bodies. Kola in 1999 read the cumulative aftermath of all of that, on the same plot of ground. For Belzec and Treblinka, how do you answer to not a single person among the ~1.4 million people who "passed through" ever showing up somewhere else?
