Activated POTA US-2844. Nice view of river. This park apparently gets lots of activations, locals used to the antennas. 15m faded a lot.

It seems that the 6m band decided to not show up for Field Day.

Just had conversation with #hamradio buddy who asked why I don't do more videos on my channel and why I don't do more #pota videos specifically? I'm like, who wants to watch someone making QSOs? I don't get it and I can't think of other videos to make. Help me understand.

POTA in Portola Redwood State Park in Northern California. Less than an hour drive and feels like a mini vacation. New to me QMX and inverted L.

@fjzeit Also, know your customers. The demographic that buys this particular piece of hardware has expectations.

The question is simple. The answer has a lot to do with resistance to change and the importance of the familiarity of utility. “This interface is familiar” > “this interface is modern”.

Left my phone by the bed Saturday morning and didn’t pick it up until Sunday morning. Was refreshing, got so much done. Might extend phone abstinence to all-weekend and make it a thing. Should I schedule posts on the weekend just to keep the algorithms happy?

@fjzeit I use mine for about an hour a day. Mostly meetings. Nobody can tell if you are standing over zoom.

Anybody who has a standing desk and have been using it for over 3 months, what's your 3-month review? For example, how often do you stand what's an 8-hour day like? If you also have a walking platform, how is that going?

Every now and then our infrastructure is a mess. Services that aren’t correctly tagged, not sure why something even exists, no one claims responsibility. So I say “ok this is getting deleted in the next hour since it has no owner”. Suddenly, the team that cares the most chimes in. Sometimes if I can tell a service is unused, I do this exercise when a team is at an offsite and cannot respond. Whoops if it was so important to you, maybe you should have been more organized. I am actually talking about our house and the kids’ ever-growing pile of arts and crafts, and not about computers.
