Reasoning level should be automatic. Stupid that I have to choose. If I want to choose I can say, "think really hard"

@satyanadella Is there an MCP to use this agent? We can't keep running around using everyone's agent baked into fragmented UIs

I love it when confident people argue with me on X. It's seriously one of my favorite things.

Gateways being necessary to secure MCP is the most absurd notion to gain acceptance in the AI era. Sometimes useful, but definitely not required.

@yenkel At the end of the day, its your ability to outpace the competition. SaaS isn't dead, but now your consumers are part of the competition. Plan accordingly.

More complex than it needs to be. Teraform already has k8s app access via the module and we can natively update config map values. We would need to create new repos/folders in git, give terraform permissions, but maybe not to other clusters repo/folder, deal with git stuff in the TF

@JoshOberdick Any of those things that are not sensitive can be put into git. Is there a reason not to?

Did you know that you can use a CMP plugin in Argo CD to add Helm Lookup support? Also, don't do that.

@todaywasawesome Cluster environment info. When using 3rd part controllers, it's very common to need things like IAM roles, account numbers, ect... These are cluster specific and not usually sensitive. Terraform can populate config maps with this info on cluster create. Then lookup in helm

@JoshOberdick Can you share the use case? We typically leverage external secrets and git to solve these problems.

@yenkel Maybe not, but need to have verifiable audit trail of who created it at a minimum.

@JoshOberdick i don’t think only on behalf of a human. but it should be clear what their permissions are and aren’t
yenkel@yenkel

@dangtony98 @eastdakota there are definitely cases for agents to have their own identity, own permissions and own lifetime I think for most it is still too early to think about this. many haven’t even done the basics for in behalf right, this is next level

clawd makes tech X realize agents need an identity, but just because an API needs to know the agent that made a request doesn't mean the agent needs its own permissions this happens because most APIs arent "AI ready". permission models aren't fine grained enough we are early
