In 2025, 11 personnel was used on 57% of ALL plays.
Which teams were most effective in the other 43%?
1. Colts
2. Rams
3. Bills
4. Eagles
5. Patriots
Only five teams had a leading secondary personnel that was not 12 personnel: 13 (LA), 21 (LAC, MIA, SF), 22 (BUF).
The Bengals were much worse in EPA/play excluding 11 personnel. Meanwhile, teams like the Dolphins and Colts were much better.
Ultimately, 11 personnel is still 👑. Just slightly less than before.

On a broader note, many teams show their tendencies based on who they put on the field.
Charlie Woerner only participated in routes 21% of the time, 2nd lowest for eligible tight ends.
This is why hybrid tight ends are having success. They have no tendency behind their name.

Here's an updated ranking for the entire season.
Keep in mind, the drop leader (defined by NGS) from each team will show up.
Travis Kelce had 3 drops that led to an interception (week 2, 8, and 14).

Travis Kelce ranks among ONLY TE's in 2025(min. 25 targets): -EPA/catch: 18th -YPRR: 26th -YPC: 21st -19th in ESPN's Receiver Ratings -Led the team in drop(6) -Led the entire league(both WR and TE's) in total lost EPA from drops(-15.53) I know we all love Travis and he's going down as one of the 3 greatest Chiefs of all time but the film and the statistics back it up. He isn't a top 5 TE anymore and he hasn't been since 2023. KC really should have put resources into finding his replacement this season so Kelce could be his mentor and play second-fiddle to the new guy. Now they have no succession plan and "Noah Gray" as the #2 TE. That doesn't seem like a recipe for success.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). @LawSchaub The Texans rank 23rd on that original list. However, they do have the 4th most o-line combinations of the season (min 10 plays together).
Noticed you guys signed Braden Smith in this offseason which the Colts featured in their combo at #5.

@JoshiosTweets Texans fan here. I know they come in low on this list. But they also traded the LT they paid $15m to start & cut their healthy starting LG halfway through the year. Depth helped, but these were self-inflicted wounds to begin with.

Continuity isn't a guarantee of offensive success, but lacking reliable depth to rely on is a concern.

Not a 6–7 joke: From 2023–25, OL6 averaged 408 offensive player-snaps per season; OL7 averaged 256. OL6 and deeper combined for 1,008 per team—versus 698 for WR2. Inspired by @RossTuckerNFL Offensive line depth isn’t a luxury. It’s a full-time starter-sized workload.

@JoshiosTweets Doesn't necessarily change the point, but this is often voluntary rather than injury-driven. Teams just aren't very good at evaluating their OL given the lack of padded reps. Tend to learn more about these guys over the first quarter season than you did over the full off-season.
