[M]an is (1) tightly unified substance that (2) thinks and (3) wills—and a proper understanding of what these notions are, and of what AI is, gives us good reason to think AI will never enter into the metaphysical realm of man. (Flynn, 2026)

To be human, at all stages of development from womb to tomb, is to be subject to disease, death, and disability. We are all together in the same leaky boat of fragile humanity. (Kaczor, 2026)

Can we truly start our lives over again? Yes! The Lord’s response, so full of love, fills our hearts with hope. No matter how weighed down we are by pain or sin: the crucified One carries all these burdens with us and for us. No matter how discouraged we are by our own weaknesses: it is precisely then that God manifests His strength, the God who has raised Christ from the dead in order to give life to the world. Each one of us can experience the freedom of new life that comes from faith in the Redeemer. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria vatican.va/content/leo-xi…

Protestants: “Ya know, there were several BAD POPES!” Do you honestly think we Catholics don’t know that? Our faith is in Christ the Savior. Popes can and do disappoint. Some popes are great. Some aren't. All Catholics acknowledge this.

A huge factor behind the Pope's explosive popularity is that his mother tongue is English. For the first time ever, the Pope is easily understood by the English speaking world without a translator. Every statement he makes in English lands with an immediate thud like no Pope has experienced before. Pope Leo didn't quite get this in the beginning. Now he does and he's using it when he wants to turn up the volume. He's in control of the entire world's news agenda in a way that no Pope has known since John Paul 2.

It is unfortunate that the term, “personal magisterium”, as applied to the pope, is being employed in such manner as if it were something autonomous or superior to the continuous Tradition of the Church. No Pope possesses a private or novel magisterium that could supersede prior definitive teachings; moreover, a pope’s personal opinions do not constitute formal teaching and are certainly not binding upon the faithful. The Pope’s authentic teaching authority is exercised through his office, not as a separate “personal” entity detached from the Church’s unified Magisterium. Faithful Catholics are called to approach all such Magisterial teachings with due reverence and submission.

God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria

The Church has a wonderful musical patrimony but there are other forms of music too, not strictly sacred or liturgical, that can lead us to a beautiful spiritual experience. (Swan, 2022)

Communion between Christians and Muslims takes shape under the mantle of Our Lady of Africa. Here, in #Algeria, the maternal love of Lalla Meryem gathers everyone as children, within our rich diversity, in our shared aspiration for dignity, love, justice, and peace. In a world where division and wars sow pain and death, living in unity and peace is a compelling sign. #ApostolicJourney

We need one another, and we need God. When we acknowledge our fragility, our hearts become open to supporting one another and to invoking the One who can grant what no human power can ensure: the profound reconciliation of hearts and, with it, true #Peace. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria vatican.va/content/leo-xi…

The tirade against Pope Leo was bad (and politically stupid), but this is a thousand times worse. Truly, a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words.

The Sunday Eucharist is indispensable to the Christian life. It is there that our faith is grows and strengthens. It is there that our efforts, though limited, are united by God’s grace to the actions of the members of a single body — the Body of Christ — for the accomplishment of a single great plan of salvation that embraces all humanity.
