@Ria1984 @kezzasett No but you have just proved the point! Seat belts stay, but those that really can't use them have alternatives/exemption Send is the same those that can't have alternatives/ exemption You argue that's not right but use an example of it actually in place!

@kezzasett But if you’re saying rules need to be achievable by all… You’re pretty much saying don’t have rules at all. There’s some people who can’t wear seatbelts so do we get rid of them? There’s some people that struggle with not hitting… do we remove the rule about hitting?

Can I just clarify, #SLANT or not… #SEND is not a reason to not follow rules. Society and all establishments have rules. We need rules. If people CANNOT abide by a rule because of a disability… fine, adapt. But we CANNOT get rid of rules for them. I’ll die on this hill.

@AutisticGirls_ But the same school reported me for grabbing my son so he couldn't run in a road... But it's ok for them as they "are professionals"

@AutisticGirls_ This is what primary school did to my daughter, against my wishes, despite my complaints, for years 3 or 4 times a week, 2 staff under the arms one on her legs. It has taken so much time for her new school to earn her trust. I was called hysterical for objecting!

@RyanHendry94 Red lights don't seem to apply to cyclists in most places. Had one nearly take out my kids and my mobility scooter at a crossing (rest of traffic had stopped and we were halfway across!)

Would be lovely if routes was opened to all. I tried to go create a disabled access friendly one today only to realise that not everyone has this ability yet! ( The only route near me is inaccessible) game is hard enough for disabled players!#niantic

@clairlemon Started self harming. It broke my child. Her secondary took a different approach, and allowed her to build trust on her terms, migraines easing, ibs going no more self harm. Teaching kids they should tolerate being uncomfortable just opens them up to abuse.

@clairlemon No. This just teaches kids that they just have to put up with things that hurt them. Can't possibly see how that would go wrong! My daughters primary took that approach she ended up dragged in and made to put up with it cos "it's best for them" she developed migraines, ibs and

Children must undergo desensitisation to their own difficult emotions. Whether experiencing annoyance, frustration, anger or boredom, children need to learn to endure discomfort & allow it to pass. Overparenting disrupts this process. My Friday column--> theaustralian.com.au/commentary/hel…

@mentalhealth @BPSHead More focus needed on why so many children now struggle with anxiety, especially around school. It impacts so many and is leading to burnt out children! Also long term implications of anxiety and trauma for children.
