NEWS: The Dutch vehicle authority (RDW) ‌has notified the European Commission of its plan to seek European Union-wide approval for @Tesla's FSD (Supervised), Bernd van Nieuwenhoven, general ‌manager of type approvals at the regulator, said. Next steps: • All member states vote on this application • Approval requires a majority of votes within the responsible committee. As I said yesterday, the RDW often sets the standards that influences almost all of Europe, so if the vote passes, we should expect countries outside the EU as well to approve FSD.

@MikeBenzCyber @elonmusk Doslovno je desničara zamijenio desničar iz njegove vlastite stranke. U ostalom, je li nakon 16. godina bilo vrijeme za političku higijenu?? Ili vam je uzor onaj s istoka?

To recap: 1. The EU Council blocked $40 billion to Hungary because it wouldn't give NGOs control over its courts. 2. The EU Court blocked Hungary from passing a FARA law to see whether NGOs there were funded by the EU. 3. The EU Council announced it would centralize voting power on EU accession to block Hungary from having a vote in the future if Orban won the election. 4. The EU flooded Hungary with political NGOs to back Magyar's campaign to oust Orban from power so Hungary would bend to the EU on Ukraine accession, mass immigration, MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+, etc. 5. Magyar wins, the EU immediately imposes a 27-point conditions list for Hungary to unblock the funds, including on Ukraine accession, mass immigration, MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+, etc. 6. The EU Commissioner comes out and says she's actually going to centralize voting power to cut out EU members like Hungary anyway.
Mike Benz@MikeBenzCyber

Right now, all eyes (and cash) among EU Blobsters are on Hungary's election, which is 2 months away, where untold foreign millions could be pouring in to covertly fund this guy's astroturfed campaign, because the Biden Admin & EU teamed up to force Hungary to repeal its FARA law

Elon Musk thinks the entire education system is built on a broken assumption. That every student should learn the same thing. At the same speed. In the same order. At the same time. Musk: “Everyone goes through from like 5th grade to 6th grade to 7th grade like it’s an assembly line. But people are not objects on an assembly line.” The model was designed for a factory economy. Standardized inputs. Predictable outputs. That economy is gone. The assembly line is gone. But the education system still runs on its logic. A student who masters algebra in two weeks sits through eight more weeks because the calendar says so. A student who struggles gets dragged forward because the schedule doesn’t wait. Neither is being served. Both are being processed. Musk: “Allow people to progress at the fastest pace that they can or are interested in, in each subject.” AI doesn’t teach a classroom. It teaches a student. One at a time. Every time. It skips what a student already knows. It finds where they’re stuck and approaches it from a different angle. It adjusts in real time. Not at the end of a semester when the damage is already done. A student obsessed with basketball learns fractions through shooting percentages. A student who builds in Minecraft learns geometry through architecture. The subject doesn’t change. The entry point does. No teacher with thirty students can do this. Not because they lack skill. Because the math doesn’t work. AI doesn’t have that constraint. Musk: “You do not need to tell your kid to play video games. They will play video games on autopilot all day. So if you can make it interactive and engaging, then you can make education far more compelling.” The brain isn’t broken. The format is. Kids learn complex systems and strategic thinking for hours voluntarily. Then walk into a classroom and can’t focus for twenty minutes. That’s not a discipline problem. That’s a design problem. Musk: “A university education is often unnecessary. You probably learn the vast majority of what you’re going to learn there in the first two years. And most of it is from your classmates.” Four years. Six figures of debt. And the real value comes from the people sitting next to you. Not the institution charging you. The degree doesn’t certify knowledge. It certifies endurance. Musk: “If the goal is to start a company, I would say no point in finishing college.” The system was built to train employees. If you’re not trying to be one, it has nothing left to offer you. Every lecture. Every textbook. Every curriculum. Now available instantly. Personalized to any learner. Adapted to any pace. The question isn’t whether the old model survives. It’s how long we keep forcing students through it while the replacement already exists.

“I spent 1 year with a Tesla and realized one thing: I was 100% confident in my misinformed opinions. I used to be an EV skeptic. I was wrong. Here are the 5 things that changed my mind: Charging - I thought gas stations were better. I was wrong. Waking up every morning to a “full tank” is the single best benefit of ownership. No more stops in the rain or snow. It’s a total game-changer. One-Pedal Driving - I didn't think braking could be improved. Wrong again. Regenerative braking is so intuitive that I almost never touch the physical brake pedal. Going back to a two-pedal internal combustion engine feels clunky now. Full Self-Driving (FSD) - I said I’d never let a computer drive for me. Now? I’m convinced it drives better than I do. The improvements this year have been mind-blowing. This tech is going to provide massive mobility for the elderly and disabled. The Screen vs. Buttons - I used to tell friends, "I like knobs and buttons." I laugh at that now. Thinking I need physical buttons is like missing the BlackBerry keyboard. The touch interface is intuitive, clean, and constantly improving. Performance - I knew it would be fast, but it’s absurd. It replaced a high-end German sports car, and the Tesla handles and accelerates significantly better while still being a practical family vehicle. Ignorance was bliss because it made me feel smart, but day-to-day ownership of the Model Y proved me wrong. If you're on the fence, the experience is likely much different from what you imagine.”
TechOperator@TechOperator

Just got this from a friend reflecting on the 1-year anniversary with their Tesla. “Everything people think before owning something tends to be, at best, misinformed, and typically just wrong. Charging is what really gets me. Non-Tesla or even non-EV owners have no idea of the quality-of-life impact of charging versus filling up a car with a toxic chemical in the rain, snow, and wind. His name is Ranger. The car's name is Killeen. It may be the dirtiest Tesla in America.”

In 2029, Apophis, a ~370m asteroid, will pass just ~31,000 km from Earth. That’s ~1/10 the distance to the Moon. Inside the orbit of geostationary satellites. Visible to the naked eye. Impact risk this time is low, but the flyby could shift its future trajectory. A direct hit would mean a ~1 km crater and regional devastation. That’s why becoming multiplanetary matters.

NEWS: Stellantis stock is down 23% today after the company announced it's taking a $26.5 billion hit and writing down their electric vehicle business. Stellantis CEO: "The write-downs reflect the cost of overestimating the pace of the energy transition that distanced us from many car buyers’ real-world needs, means and desires.”

Tesla: "In the first half of 2026, we plan to more than double the size of onsite compute in Texas (in terms of H100 equivalents). We aim to maximize capital efficiency by scaling training compute judiciously, including when the training backlog gets too long or in anticipation of greater demand from our engineers to support our AI-related offerings."

Elon says chip production is the biggest limiting factor for future growth at Tesla. "I think Tesla needs to build a terafab. Even when we look at the best case output of all our key suppliers, it's not enough. In order to remove the probable constraint in 3-4 years, we'll have to build a very big fab, domestically. I know fabs are hard, but we do a lot of hard things."

NEWS: Tesla has formerly announced that AI5 production will start in 2027, and AI6 production in 2028. "Development of our in-house, custom designed AI5 and AI6 inference chips for autonomy progressed during the quarter, with production planned for 2027 and 2028, respectively. We are targeting a 50x improvement in performance for AI5 relative to AI4 thanks to 10x raw compute, 9x memory capacity and 5x hardened block quantization and softmax function (the latter enabling efficient low-precision computing without sacrificing model accuracy)."

Great earnings report from Tesla, including automotive gross margins of 18% (excluding credits) and Energy margins of ~30%. It includes a lot of interesting new tidbits of info, and (likely) because of Elon's newly passed 2025 CEO Performance Award, which includes FSD subscription and delivery operational milestones, we now get to see how many people have bought/purchased FSD (1.M) and cumulative vehicle deliveries (8.9M).

Forget the $100,000 investing courses. In 1998, Warren Buffett gave a one-hour masterclass on how to never lose money. The company built on that thinking is now worth nearly $1 trillion. Save this before it disappears from your feed.
