This is... hilarious in a really sad way. I'll give you a fitting analogy.
Imagine you have a crush on this girl but she's dating someone else. So you go ahead and pay for all her and her boyfriends dates and expenses in the hopes that once they MAYBE break up she'll decide to hook up with you.

Destiny fans might not wanna hear it, but if you really want to see Bungie get a greenlight for Destiny 3 you should maybe support Marathon as opposed to shitting on it and review bombing it.

I’ve worked on a lot of games over the years and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised to learn about how this franchise affected so many players’ lives. The global reach is really impressive to witness. I’ve not seen such an outpouring of affection for a series, in the gaming world, to the level I’ve seen with this game. Pretty spectacular, warriors.

Without following your clickbait link, what makes it seem unlikely?
All that's happened is that Sony has put a hold on BUNGiE's serial incompetence. That doesn't mean they have no future plans for the franchise they spent billion$ to acquire, along with Marathon and what turns out to be BUNGiE's nonexistent "expertise" in live service game development.
