Not all our Keepers wear green! Zebra foals imprint on their mothers by recognising their unique patterns of stripes. When we rescued this little foal - orphaned after a lion attack - we dusted off our Zebra coat, so that she didn’t feel alone and knew who to follow. With your support, our door is open to any wild animal in need. Find out more: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org

Pantanal, Brazil – a vast wetland where jaguars move quietly along riverbanks, caimans rest at the water’s edge and macaws fill the sky. Shaped by years of careful conservation, this is where we recommend going if seeing jaguars in the wild truly matters. safari.co.uk/destinations/l…

In just one month, our Air Wing logged 191 flight hours, covering 26,664 kilometres. Highlights included veterinary interventions, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, and orphan rescues, alongside daily patrols. This was one of the operations that unfolded late in September, to help save a calf trapped in a shallow well. Our Aerial Reports offer a glimpse into the incredible conservation and rescue efforts carried out each month by our Fixed-Wing and Helicopter Units to protect Kenya’s wildlife. Convention on Migratory Species (CMS)
Africa’s iconic carnivores—Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and African Wild Dog—are keystone species that regulate herbivore populations, prevent overgrazing, and safeguard habitats. 🐆 But they’re in decline. African Wild Dogs now occupy only 6% of their historic range. The main drivers: habitat degradation and fragmentation, habitat conversion, prey depletion, and human–carnivore conflict. 🦁 The African Carnivores Initiative (ACI), a joint programme of CMS and @CITES, in collaboration with @IUCN and guided by 48 Range State Parties, unites partners to foster cooperation, promote coexistence, develop disease management plans, and advance outreach and education. 🐾 Discover how coordinated, science-based action is delivering meaningful conservation outcomes for these four predators: cms.int/legalinstrumen… 🇫🇷 Regardez cette vidéo en français: youtube.com/watch?v=uEpyG9…

When done with care, where income supports rangers, communities and the landscapes themselves, tourism is one of the great allies of conservation. getaway.co.za/travel/nature-…

Cheetah were reintroduced to the Klein Karoo after having been extinct in the Western Cape for more than 200 years. Sanbona has contributed up to 20 cheetah to the metapopulation. This is no small achievement, given that there are only about 7,000 cheetah left in the world.

Meet Trouble. While he's been known to disrupt a hunt or two, he's starting to find his footing. His latest catch? A water monitor lizard - an unusual choice, but a clear display of growing skill and bravery. 📷Guide: Witness Monyenda #Lion #safaris #Trouble
