He asked Orania’s spokesperson, @StrydomJoost, whether a white resident of the white enclave — if he falls in love with a black woman and marries her — would be allowed to continue living in Orania. Strydom’s blood-chilling answer was: “The residents of Orania will have to decide, but I don’t think they will allow it.” I was reminded of how, years ago, I asked the founder of Orania, #ProfessorCarelBoshoff (who was the son-in-law of the architect of apartheid, Dr. Hendrik Verwoerd), if I would be allowed to stay in Orania with my black wife and child. His equally blood-chilling answer was: “Mr. Niehaus, you can stay in Orania, but your wife and child will not be allowed to stay.” That’s i! — Do we need to hear anything more about the fundamental racism of Orania?! The only reasonable thing to do is to send in the bulldozers and flatten Orania, and other racist white enclaves like it, to the ground!
