When an Indian migrant, who is Hindu, cuts you in line and tries to bypass everyone else, it’s because in their mind, they’re trying to “prove” to the world that they are “upper caste and special,” by being allowed to bypass everyone else. And, that is why Americans need to stop being gracious because it feeds into this caste behavior, and our passive graciousness oddly convinces them they are in fact a caste above Americans. It’s important to stop anyone doing this and tell them to move to the back of the line and tell them they aren’t special nor are they above any American that has to wait in line.
