Just doesn't make sense to draft her first unless you have PB. The star player has "pull" in every organization in sports. You're nieve to think they dont.

Yes, trade Diamond bc of contract, but why get 2 other front court players 2 days before the draft? They did this with the intention of drafting Azzi bc of PB. This draft was guard heavy with very few elite bigs. 2 ACL injuries

The relationship was factor. Yes she can shoot but you dont go number 1 for just shooting. There were better players. They made Azzi a need.

They only needed a shooter bc they pick up 4 overpaid front court players right before the draft to make Azzi fit. Why wouldnt Dallas want to make PB happy? They addressed their other needs in free agency and when it came to the draft they addressed their last need.

I'm starting to think the only way I can watch the WNBA is to see it as a reality show. That's how many of the players treat it. It's not like a real pro league. Even the fans aren't into it for the basketball. If you took away the drama of who is fuqing who, they wouldn't watch.

Maybe… WNBA reporters are more decent than men’s sports reporters and we know Azzi Fudd was drafted #1 for her basketball, not for her personal relationships? I know it’s hard to understand that but like unless it’s an entertainment or lgbtq+ focused outlet, it’s not our biz.
