Plata just got full banking authorization from Mexico's CNBV, completing a ~3-year licensing process I believe Nubank + Mercado Pago are still waiting for final auth of their Mexican banking licenses Right now, Plata only offers credit cards. counterintuively, the safest thing to do as a startup is to work on the hardest and biggest idea. there is almost always no one competing with you, and you'll have a massive advantage in hiring because smart people want to work on unique and difficult things this is especially true in crypto, which can be a myopic, narrative-driven market where trends can last just a few days. getting lost in the sauce of the "current crypto thing" by pivoting from one idea to another is a very common startup failure mode the best founders can take a step back, think about where the world is heading, and build the thing that's hard + inevitable
