To my Protestant brothers and sisters this is a sincere question: without citing your subjective feelings on the matter, how do you know that Luke's & Mark's Gospels are INSPIRED SCRIPTURE not merely historic records? It's all good to say that "all scripture is inspired by God," but how did you arrive at the knowledge that THIS BOOK (eg Mark) IS scripture without trusting "tradition?"

The Deuterocanon was in the Septuagint, Jesus & the apostles quoted the Septuagint. So calling it “Catholic heresy” means one of three things: 1. Jesus used non-Scripture 2. The Church was wrong for 1,500 years 3. The canon was fixed in the 16th century

This guy fancies himself to be some kind of kitchen prophet! The only written words that anyone can take seriously are the words of God written in the Bible by the very hand of God. Everything else is either a rumor, an opinion or a guess. It is not a fact just because it was written by a disciple of the apostles. Those who wrote the Bible wrote truth. They wrote the words of God. So, Sole Fide still exists into eternity! Sola fide is one of the five foundational principles of the Reformation, alongside sola scriptura (Scripture alone), sola gratia (grace alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), and soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone). John 5:24 “ I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he is crossed over from death to life.” John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies.”

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆. 💥 The men taught by the apostles did not preach faith alone. Ignatius. Polycarp. Clement of Rome. Their doctrine of justification was fully Catholic. That leaves only one option. Either the apostles failed, or Martin Luther introduced a doctrine the Church had never known. @MrCasey62 If 2 people both claim the Holy Spirit is leading who is right ? They don’t realize all of their arguments are inconsistent For ex: what about teachings before the NT was canonized & Bible as sole authority yet reject the interpretation of the ones who gave it to you 🤔

Here’s another one claiming the Holy Spirit is at fault for leading Evangelicals in all of their contradictory directions.

Perfect example of how “Sola Scriptura” always ends up a theological train wreck. It’s never “Sola Scriptura”. It’s always “Sola My Interpretation”. And it’s NOT the Holy Spirit’s fault. 🧵

@fallguy24845048 @Scribbledscrips In the Bible, “passion” often means strong desire, suffering, or human emotion. Obsession is when desire rules your heart over God. If it’s controlled, God-centered, and builds holiness it’s zeal if it overwhelms and dominates its obsession 🙏🏽💜

@fallguy24845048 @Scribbledscrips Something becomes an idol when it takes the place of God in your life when it controls your mood, identity, or peace, and begins to compete with God for your loyalty, obedience, and trust. When that attachment turns into craving or dependence, it is covetousness.
