@WavyCreative_ @LenkaAccount you are mixing two things VerseUI is different and UMG is different there was no such things like custom verse ui buttons, there was this button widget but it was useless coz u couldn't tell what button u selected

Verse UI button{} have now HighlightEvent and UnhighlightEvent in Experimental 🔥🔥 You can basically make custom buttons now like just use a material with a parameter so when its highlighted just set the parameter and it will update the button widget 🙌🏻 By : @LenkaAccount #UEFN #Verse

@Julianoz_ @jwzyy I’ve worked around the tediousness of verse UIs with significant refactoring and building a pretty robust construction system… it’s maybe a step more complicated than the dream of UMG access, but it’s pretty close :)

@maestroshark @jwzyy I was assuming (well, hoping) it meant custom viewmodels and/or being able to reference all the widgets in the UMG BP like scenegraph components, essentially making Verse UI obsolete and giving us the same level of UI power as UE

@Julianoz_ @jwzyy Well, we’ll still need material_blocks. Verse UI is necessary for highly dynamic UIs with a plethora of elements, at some point viewmodels become tedious.
