Is #NZ Govt trying to soften up the public for a military operation in the Straits of #Hormuz? Its one-sided statements have never called out the initiators of the #warofchoice in the Gulf which led to the current impasse. Quickest way to open the Straits is to stop 🛑 the war.

Yes freedom of the seas is vital but this statement is so one eyed it’s laughable. There is an elephant in the room that is conveniently ignored. As is Israel’s recent attack on Pars that precipitated recent responses. Weak.

Jenny Miller @SatPaper writes of her son’s suicide after wrongfully accused of a debt. She endured hours of questioning while staff faced disciplinary action if they spoke out. Still no accountability …all she’s left with is an urn of her sons ashes

Investment in CSIRO has been declining in real terms for decades. The result is shocking - recent cuts mean there have been more job losses under the Albanese govt than under Abbott, and key capabilities like climate modelling are being reduced. Funding in MYEFO was welcome, but temporary. The upcoming budget is the real test. It must deliver long-term investment to rebuild national science capability. thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/environme…

“The biggest anxiety, though, is the scale of cuts [to CSIRO] – there have been more under Albanese than under Abbott. That’s extraordinary,” Senator David Pocock tells The Saturday Paper. satpa.pe/skP7HXp

I hate the narrative that women are more emotional than men. Actually no. Men make up 90% of prison populations…because they can’t control their anger, lust, or addictions.

💔 The current Taiji dolphin slaughter season recently ended as of Feb. 28, 2026, leaving a devastating toll: 393 dead, 84 taken for captivity. Of the animals taken, 81 were bottlenose dolphins, 2 were short-finned pilot whales, and 1 was a rough-toothed dolphin. Among those slaughtered, 134 were striped dolphins, 68 were Risso’s dolphins, 128 were melon-headed whales, and 61 were short-finned pilot whales. 🐬💔 The 84 dolphins captured endured extreme trauma during the brutal hunt and will now spend the rest of their lives in tiny tanks, forced to perform tricks for tourists instead of swimming free in the wild. The travel industry should—and could—take a stand by removing venues that profit from these hunts through captive dolphins. Travelers can help too: never support attractions that keep dolphins in captivity. Dolphins are intelligent, social, and deserve freedom, not a life of terror and exploitation. We must keep exposing this cruelty and fight for a world where dolphins live safe, wild, and free. 🌊🧡 📊 Estimated numbers sourced from the International Marine Mammal Project, thanks to Kunito Seko and Megumi Matsudo

This is the Ad that #Newscorpse initially pulled despite that it was already paid for by the Jewish Council of Australia. #Newscorpse deny they pulled it, saying it was delayed due to internal processes. Sounds like BS, I’m pretty sure they don’t want ppl to see it. Plz share.

Woman: I was abused and violated. Men: We’ll need 500 photos, 100 videos, about 20 witnesses, a timeline, a psychological report, and forensic proof. Abuser: I didn’t do it. Men: Sounds reasonable, we believe you.
